This memorial was created by a local couple whose smart, beautiful son was lost in the Vietnam War. Heartbroken, this local man created a memorial for his son and all Vietnam Veterans which has since grown and includes a unique cathedral. This was a labor of love -- a father's life work -- and is worth seeing. It's a tear-jerker for sure, but really great to honor the fallen -- a number of which are honored with full stories on their service as written by the founding father until his death a few years ago.

The Vietnam Veteran memorial is in a beautiful setting. It was started by a father from Albuquerque who lost a son in Vietnam. Lots of information and bios of those who were lost in the war.

Visit the Chapel and underground center, see a Huey Helicopter and the brick-lined paths.

"Need I say more about this historical land mark. Definitely worth a stop to go see a bit of history."

This is the first major Vietnam memorial in the United States started by a father from Albuquerque who lost a son in Vietnam, but is a tribute to the 17 Marines who died in that battle, as well as, all members of America’s Armed Forces. The memorial is an amazing place complete with a Chapel, Visitors Center, a Huey and beautiful grounds with views forever.
