Your blacksmithing adventure will include three hours of hands on instruction as you create your very own masterpiece. Your experience will start with a brief orientation to The Forge at Quiver Full Farm. During this orientation time we will make sure each participant is dressed and prepared with all necessary equipment to have a SAFE forging experience. We will be working with equipment that reach temperatures greater than 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. This experience requires participants to be attentive and be able to physically exert themselves. We will have all participants sign a safety liability waiver before starting. If you are under 18 years of age you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate. Jeremy will introduce you to all of the equipment that you will be using while creating your forged piece. He will give detailed and guided instruction on how to use these tools. From there you will choose one of several projects to create. Jeremy will be there to guide you, assist you, and maintain a safe working environment while you create your masterpiece. Other things to note This experience is for adults and children over the age of 14. If you have sensitivities to smoke and heat this may not be the experience for you.

Be a jeweler for a day by creating your own keepsake hammered sterling silver stacking rings. We'll start off by getting you settled into the studio before teaching you the basics of metalsmithing. We'll cut silver, learn how to solder the rings together with propane torches and then learn how to polish them to make them shiny! Once you learn the basics, you can add textures to make your ring unique, and make two beautiful stacking rings!This is a wonderful experience to bring home a memorable souvenir from your trip to Asheville. Afterwards, feel free to peruse our beautiful gallery and walk around the River Arts District to get get inspired by the over 200 working artists in the warehouses. This magical hike with epic views is an experience that will last in your memories forever. We will hike in the enchanted landscape of Western North Carolina & get some incredible Instagram worthy pictures of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The hike will be between 3-5 miles depending on weather & the group. The Blue Ridge Mountains are some of the oldest in the world! We will stop at the top, have a snack/ beverage of your choice, take some really wonderful photos and then back down the mountain. [If you book as a "single" and the group ends up as "ONE/just you" we will do the shorter hike - if you are only one there may be a chance of cancellation] Weather can have a impact based on trail availability and access so please understand at this time of year things [weather] can change quickly. The parkway can be closed in winter so lots of our access to views can be limited. If the date you are looking for is not on the calendar, send me a message. I will help you find a solution. You will need your own vehicle. Enjoy a one-of-a-kind hike in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains with our friendly llamas! Hikers will learn about our famous llamas' interesting histories and how to safely handle the animals before heading out on a hike with gorgeous mountaintop views on our private trails. Each group gets 1 to 3 loveable llamas to share, depending on group size. There’s plenty of time for llama cuddles and, of course, llama selfies! This moderate hike is around 1 mile long and does require requires walking uphill on rocky and sometimes slippery terrain. This experience lasts approximately an hour and a half. Guests should wear comfortable, closed toed shoes. We need a minimum of 4 hikers to book and may contact you about rescheduling if we do not have enough bookings. Please note: This event takes place in Eastern Standard Time.

Experience the sunrise from up in the mountains! This is Asheville’s only sunrise tour and you will get a front-row seat in our custom Jeep to one of the greatest experiences in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We will drive you up the famous Blue Ridge Parkway to our favorite sunrise spot (located at 5,000 ft. above sea level!) After a short, 5-10 minute walk, we will arrive at our spot and your guide will brew some fresh local coffee. We will enjoy the coffee as well as the sights, sounds, and smells of awaking mountains as we watch the sun come up over the mountains! Your guide will also provide alternative drinks if you aren’t a coffee drinker. We will bring a variety of teas. We will take care of the details like cups, creamers, and sugar. Fog and clouds can come through in minutes. As a result, clear viewing of the sunrise is not guaranteed, but we will try our best to get you to see the sunrise. If there is rain in the forecast for your tour, your guide will reach out before the trip to discuss alternative options such as moving to a different date. If the weather becomes dangerous and we must cancel the trip, you will receive a full refund.

Picture yourself meandering through the idyllic, mountain-framed grounds of an old 1000-acre dairy farm located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. On each side you’re surrounded by some of the most stunning flora in the Eastern US, including goldenseal and spring ephemerals such as trillium, may apple, and ramps. As you make your way up and over the hills, hickory, walnuts, oaks, tulip poplars, and other mature hardwoods rise from the forest, towering high above. The ride takes place on the Evans family farm in rural Barnardsville, NC. Lovingly referred to as “The Dairy,” the farm operated from the 1930s until 2008 and has a history almost as beguiling as the land it's on. (To boot: it used to sell milk to the famous Biltmore Estate!) Though just 25 minutes north of hip, brewery-soaked Asheville, the farm is guaranteed to transport you to a simpler, far more relaxed time.

My team and I are here to provide an adventure into learning how to Fly Fish. We’ll be teaching you traditional techniques as well as Euro nymping a tight line technique that’s been around for ages. Any level anglers are welcome from beginners to advanced, bring your own gear or we can provide everything for you. Also provide drinks and snacks. We’ll be exploring the rivers and streams around Western NC and hunting for wild and stocked Rainbow, Brook, and Brown trout. Between myself and my team (including tour guides June, Melissa, Helena, Alison, Bailey and Laura) we have over 35 years of goat experience. Guests will get a walking tour the goat farm, home to 60 goats. We will begin the tour by giving loads of information about goat care and dairy farming. Guests will have the option to play and interact with goats. You’ll definitely want to wear shoes that can stand getting dirty for this part. We will finish the tour with an elaborate tasting of the 9 fresh cheese varieties we make weekly on the farm.

Your experience will take place at Great Wild Nowhere, an art gallery / tap room in the River Arts District. After a crash course introduction to the screen printing process, guests will pull their own prints on tee shirts and paper while enjoying a complimentary local craft beer or a glass of wine. Choose from our gallery wall of original, mystical woodland creatures and exotic beasts to make prints that you get to keep and then emblazon one on a tee shirt you print yourself! Shirts and paper will be provided. Please take time to read thru all details before booking. We will meet at front of farm house. We will start at the top of the field walking around our pastures, checking our fences along way enjoying the peacefulness that nature brings and heading into the forest and around the pastures up hills and forest where our highland cows reside. Sharing with you about out breed of cows and what they are known for. We will explore how they interact with each of us their mannerisms and irresistible cuteness. While circling the pastures we have other animals you may interact with that include 5 Scottish highland cows and their calves who were born during the year, our goats and our sweet rescue horse Eli &livestock guardian dogs. We will end our visit at the west pasture sharing treats with the animals and brushing the cows. Other things to note please Wear good closed toe tennis shoes for hike and clothes you may not mind getting dirty, to interact with animals. Hiking stick, jacket if cold, bottle of water. May not be a good fit- Disability or limitation of doing a moderate hike. Families with children 6 or younger message us privately to book we have a tour made specifically for little ones. No dogs please as not all dogs like cows. Weather back up plan-don’t worry we will see cows.. but will replace hike with the historic farmhouse tour listed under our experiences.

Love hiking and coffee? You've found the right place. We have over 300 waterfalls around Brevard and searching different trail websites gets confusing to try and pick which one to visit, so I will make it easy, we’ll visit three of my personal favorites along a 3.5 mile loop. The terrain is mostly even, gravel trail with two steep sections (about 70 yards) that will get your heart pumping, but the views are worth the climbs. To me there's nothing better than slowing down to appreciate the moment in nature with a great cup of coffee (and new friends!). On this hike you will try my locally roasted coffee medium roast, called "Trail Magic". I recently hired the best hiking guides in WNC and we can't wait to lead you on a coffee hike! Here's our plan. 1. We will meet at The Hooker Falls parking area in DuPont State Forest, and hike to Hooker Falls. Here we'll break to brew and share coffee together. You'll learn how to make coffee in the woods including how to filter water from the waterfall. 2. We'll head to Triple Falls. It's up a steep climb but we will take our time and the view is totally worth it. 3. After some pictures of Triple Falls, we'll keep hiking on to High Falls, a stunning end to our adventure.
