This us a very special house and we had a great family time staying there. Don’t be put off by the cloudy pool or the communication difficulties (the staff don’t speak much English) or the bugs (cockroaches, leeches & spiders). If you want a remote and rural experience up country and live like a Maharajah this is the place for you. The fresh fruit for breakfast and range of curries are a delight. Just remember to bring some beers or wine with you because the nearest supermarket is half an hour away.

Great place to escape, beautiful villa and great staff and food. Only thing to be aware of is that the villa is in nature so there are bugs inside the villa if you are not comfortable with that.

掲載されている美しい写真を見てGuava House に泊まることを決めました。鄙びた村のはずれにあるヴィラはプライベート感にあふれ建築的に美しい空間ですが、実際に訪れたらメンテナンスができておらず、スタッフもあまりフレンドリーではない（英語でのコミュニケーションがかなり困難でした）、前日にお願いをしてあったにもかかわらず夕食の準備もできていない、最低限のアメニティすら用意されておらずに、長い道のりを経て到着した私たちは困惑しました。同行した友人に、なぜこのヴィラを選んだのかと問われて言葉に詰まりまりました。
簡素なヴィラ滞在としてその程度の価格なら文句は言いませんが、ラグジュリーヴィラとしての高い価格、事前にオペレーターから私たちのバックグランドや興味まで問われたので、その分エクスクルーシブな宿なのであろうと期待していただだけに、そのギャップに驚きました。
問題は、オペレーターとヴィラスタッフの連携ができていないことだと思います。ヴィラスタッフの英語力は限られているので、ゲストが泊まる際には正しい指示と情報伝達、施設のメンテナンス状態のチェックが不可欠だと思いますが、それが行われていない。　
到着した晩に、私たちが滞在した２週間前に宿泊したゲストのコメントを発見したのですが、シャワージェルのボトルが空、プールとデッキのメインテナンスができていない、など私たちが泊まるまでに何も改善がされていませんでした。
夕食のリクエストもヴィラスタッフには伝達されておらず、私たちが到着してからあわてて近くに食材を買いに行って用意してくれたので、まったく簡単なディナーとなりました。　今後もこの価格をチャージするのであれば、まずはメンテナンスを行い、価格にふさわしいサービスを徹底させるべきです。

Guava House is really wonderful architecturally speaking(although it may need some maintainance)and the landscape around it magic. The swimming pool could be amazing but it totally lacks normal maintenance. Filters were usually switched off(maximum use of filters one hour per day)and water was not circulating. The result was a completely cloudy water which made it unpleasant to swim in because it made it impossible to see what was inside. We told the agency which tried to find excuses such as a problem of rain and the specific covering used (not tiles but granite).They told they would ask to leave filters and circulating water switched on but this never happened. The general impression we got was to be not very welcomed. At our check in the staff was still cleaning, the soap was not new and shower gel was almost empty.Staff was kind but quite interested in going away as soon as possible especially in the evening when they prepared dinner earlier and earlier. Relaxing stay anyway.
