Anywhere along Puako Beach Drive. Best snorkeling and whale watching on the Big Island in warm waters and lots of turtles to swim with.

AKA: ʻAnaehoʻomalu Beach This is a lovely beach for families, with free parking and easy access. If you want palm trees and a white sand beach, you need to check it out.

Best snorkeling on the entire island! In my opinion :) At the end of Puako beach drive you’ll find the last beach access point. It has a pretty big parking area (compared to the other access points) and portable bathrooms. There is an entry point that’s a little tricky to see if you’ve never been, so if you’d like to go I can drop you a pin of the exact location! Just let me know. Once you are in, there are so many fish and amazing caverns to explore. Just swim out a little ways and it’s hard to miss. Go early for the best chance of calm water.

The Beach 69 that is in this bay is very secluded, great snorkel spots. Feels like many mini beaches carved out by the pockets of tree groves. Old Puako Rd Hawaii, HI 96740 About 6 miles from house
