Set in rolling parkland alongside the River Wye, north of the town centre, Chepstow Racecourse is one of Britain's most famous horse-racing venues. It's home to Wales' most prestigious race meeting, the Welsh Grand National – a roughly 3-mile steeplechase held between Christmas and New Year, which has been run here since 1949.
