Built in 1707, it was rebuilt after the earthquake destroyed most of the building and its gilded. It is a building in Baroque style, whose exterior simplicity contrasts with the decorative inner wealth. The decor in gilt is considered the most beautiful in the country.

The frescos in the ceiling vaults are a standout, and the paintings on the walls depict the life of St Anthony of Lisbon.

The exterior aspect of the Church is simple, with smooth stone walls.
