Bands come to see other bands play here, so you’ll get a lot of musicians in the crowd. Everyone is always interested in the next wave of talent, and this is a 350-person capacity venue that is a milestone for bands on the way to becoming a household name. Artists come to be seen—and get signed. There’s a patio that is a nice and relaxing place where both bands and fans hang out after a show. It’s open to everyone, so you never know who you’ll be sitting next to.

The Echoplex is physically connected to its upstairs neighbor, the Echo, but it's so much larger and into its own thing that it has a separate back-alley entrance and a different street address. Reggae, hip-hop, funk, LGBT and other dance nights trade off with live concerts. The large stage, full sound system and dark lighting make the Echoplex an appropriate venue for big concerts, as well as spoken-word slams, beer and wine tastings, and even rollerskating. Full bar plus a smoking patio. Age limit varies. Street parking, with more parking available in a nearby metered public lot.

The Rolling Stones kicked off their tour here last week...does this mean Echo Park has now truly arrived? I love the Echo, it's very egalitarian in it's bands - always something fresh to see and hear!

Cool place to go for live music. Sometimes super famous people like the Rolling Stones pop in unannounced. Next door to Two Boots so you can get a slice before or after the show.
