Only 5 mins' drive away - a favourite walk for many locals, this stunning coastal walk starts at Sharpes Beach and follows the hilly coastline to Pat Morton Lookout at Lennox Head (3km one way, provides beautiful ocean and area views). This man made bush track follows the coastline offering sweeping views of our eastern coastline. It is peaceful and relaxing and can be done from either starting point - Pat Morton to Sharpes or vice versa. Pack a picnic and enjoy on any one of the vantage points - under a pandanus tree or soak up the sun. This is an ideal walk particularly in the whale season.

One of the best local surf points!! There is usually a coffee van set up and on weekends a food truck!

Dolphins sometimes join surfers riding the waves, offering a wonderful sight. Between May and November, you can spot whales migrating along the coast from the lookout.

Surfing is the order of the day at Sharpes Beach. A great favourite with the locals, you can tell when the surf is good as the car park will be packed! Slightly quieter than the Byron Bay beaches, there is an expanse of golden sands and sheltered spots. This beach is a ten minute drive from the villa or a twenty minute cycle via a track that goes all the way from Ballina, directly to Sharpes Beach.
