At a short 15 min. drive from Casa Mora B&B, the Jardín Botánico Lankester was initially the private botanic garden of the British naturist Charles H. Lankaster, which was donated to the Universidad de Costa Rica in 1973 and it has become one of the most active botanic institutions in the Neotropics. This is a great place to relax and enjoy picture perfect landscaping.

A botanical research center that houses a world-class collection of hundreds of orchids displayed at eye level. The huge number of plants means you can see blooms year round, although February through April is the most spectacular time to visit. Other families that are well represented in the garden are palms, bamboos, heliconias, bromeliads, palms, and conifers. Don’t miss the Japanese gardens.
