Great place to hang out & see the local culture. Drum circle sunday eve & other street performers. Good beach location with volleyball courts. Many restaurants walking distance. Free parking.

This simple, hole-in-the-wall fish and chips place is about as close as you can get to dining on the water in downtown Carlsbad, and the fish and chips are cheap, huge, and delicious.

Locals and tourists alike are drawn to this family-owned Carlsbad restaurant to enjoy casual dining at weathered outdoor. Excellent fresh fish daily. Wonderful outdoor location overlooking the ocean.
