Having taken the ferry to Dartmouth, taken a walk around the town with interesting, quaint streets and shops, a harbour and then the park to have a picnic if you have taken a 'One I prepared earlier' lunch, you could then go along to The Castle.
The castle was built in 1481 and was the first to be constructed specifically for artillery. There is also a World War II pillbox.
Worth a visit. St Petroc's Church quite interesting too next door. There is a steam paddle boat from Dartmouth to this location. Nice tea room at castle.
