City Beach is the closest swimming beach. It is a white sandy beach, patrolled by life guards and lit into the night and early in the morning. The adjoining City Beach Park is popular for people visiting the beach and relaxing on the open lawn areas and includes picnic and barbecue facilities. City beach is also a dining precinct.
