The Maggiore monastery, adjacent to the church of San Maurizio, now houses the Archaeological Museum. There are not many traces of the ancient Mediolanum in the city, but here you can admire many. The museum is accessed from a cloister with fragments of the Roman city walls and from the Torre di Ansperto. Take a trip to this museum if only to see the only piece of Roman walls that have remained intact in Milan. Finally, among the many works on display, do not miss the large head of Zeus: it dates back to the 2nd century AD. and was found near the current Sempione park.
