Another one of John's favorites. Marketed as a local-knowledge, private members-only lounge. No bouncer, but when you enter, the bartender will ask for your membership card or who referred you. I believe a "membership" costs $10 cash for one year, and gives you access to their slot machines, pool table (coin-operated), bar, musical guests, etc.. It's a small, cozy and clean establishment and the managers and bartenders take pride in their work. Attentive bartenders. No kitchen or bar food here though, folks.
