Mountain views, fresh air, good varied terrain and microbiomes. Adventurous by foot and bike. The trail starts at the trail head, take a left as you are facing south, head up past schultz tank, and start heading up the switchbacks to the top. Don't forget to look behind you at the mountain. Head over the ridge and don't take the left fork -- stay right. Head through a couple different forests and then stay right at another fork, down a very crazy steep section toward dry lake hills, take a right when you get to the bottom of that hill and skirt the meadow. Head into the treed area and walk down a now widened road (due to forest thinning), all the way back to the trailhead. 6.2 mile loop.
