RESTAURANT/PUB - Mendham (3 minutes drive) Comfortable and welcoming. As local as you can get. Food is usually good but sometimes slow. Service is very good & friendly. Currently breakfast, lunch and dinner are served - but call ahead to be sure... The pub is named after the famous painter, who was born just around the corner at Mendham Mill. From humble beginnings, the artist enjoyed great prestige in his lifetime. In death, his work continues in popularity. In 2007, his painting The Red Prince Mare was sold for a record $7,848,000.
