This is the most popular walking track in the Mt Cook area. It crosses three swing bridges and offers stunning views of Mt Cook, glaciers and surrounding mountains. It's about 10km long and the best time to walk it is dawn.

Fantastic walk near the base of Mount Cook. Suits a range of fitness levels because the terrain is not too difficult. Not recommended for children under 5 years or you might end up carrying them. Dress for changeable weather and take a picnic.
