Just a 5 minute walk from our property you can access a dense forest called the ''Shimla Water Catchment Sanctuary'' offers short and long beautiful forest walks with a variety of flora and fauna. Perfect hike as you walk under the shade of the conifers and old colonial planted trees like Maple; Beech and Chestnut trees. Find wild strawberries or raspberries growing along the path. One can also have the view of the North Western Himalayan Ranges with stunning views and away from the traffic and tourist noise. It is kind of a hidden area where tourists and locals alike do not go often. Clean trails and Peace and Tranquillity along with plenty of photo opportunities.

this for those people who like to walk in the nature see wildlife or rent cycle it's 12 km beautiful forested, one of the best in Shimla for nature lover.

Closed on Mondays, it's a perfect picnic spot close to town. You can rent bicycles at the gate and cycle through the levelled forest track for 7 km , one way.
