Easy walk about 1 mile each way. Benches at the end to sit and enjoy a beautiful view

This stop is just about a 2 mile drive away. You will need to borrow my park pass in order to park but then you can do the about 1 mile long walk out to the old railroad dock. If you have binoculars bring them so you can see the seals out on the rocks. On a clear day you can hear them calling out to each other. Sometimes there are dead washed up jelly fish on the beach and you know how kids love to poke and prod with a stick. The path out here is totally paved and easy for someone in a wheelchair. Once you get out to the end there is a bunch of history boards about the old railway logging trade in the area. You can also see bats flying through here depending on the time of the year that you visit.

Easy well maintained trial through the forest leads to a former logging railroad that is now home to a bat nursery, heron rookery, and cormorant rookery.
