田園の中にたたずむ神社。蛍が群生するスポット。 毎年４月第３日曜日に行われる滋賀県無形民俗文化財「川上祭」（サンヤレ祭）の下の宮。 A shrine nestled in the countryside. A spot where fireflies grow in clusters. Shimonomiya is part of Shiga Prefecture's Intangible Folk Cultural Property "Kawakami Festival" (Sanyare Festival) held on the third Sunday of April every year.
