This is one of the few dog friendly beaches near the Hibiscus House. There are limitations on the hours they are allowed, but those are pretty liberal.

Clean, large, family friendly beach. It’s a 60 second drive from Whispering Walleye.

Nickel Plate Beach, with its nearby lighthouse, has 12 acres of swimming, picnicking, fishing, and volleyball. Nickel Plate is located off US Route 6 in Huron, Ohio. There are enough activities to fill a long day, and just a short drive to the nearby Lighthouse Pier would make for a pleasant evening.
