15km away. Situated at the mouth of the Shannon this sand and rocky beach stretches over 3 km around the ‘dog-leg’ of the estuary. Extensive and high dune landscape dominates the bend in the Estuary and the beach provides long walking opportunities

Nice long quiet beach, lovely for walks. You will need a car or bike to get here. No amenities. Beware of currents.
