Just past Stanwood on Camano Island is an off-the-beaten track option for beach access. The parking lot is small, so it doesn’t take many people to make it crowded, but it’s a nice little location – that typically has several Bald Eagles nesting and hanging out right by the parking lot! Make sure to check the tides – the beach is shallow, and when the tides are low the water is waaaaaay off shore and conditions can be muddy.

Glorious panorama of Cascades from Mount Baker south to Mount Rainier. Great for morning sunrises and short hikes, birdwatching.

Low key and easy trail. Great place for picnic and bird/nature watching. Parking is a bit limited.
