Southern to the core, Uptown Chicken and Waffles is (and I’m not making this up) the BEST fried chicken I’ve ever had. Owned by military veteran, local celebrity, and * Food Network Celebrity Chef Judy is a master at every single dish on the menu. They also make an amazing Shrimp & Grits, accompanied by plenty of tasty peppers and andouille sausage. And if you’d prefer it fried, try their Fish and Grits. Source: Nctripping.com
