Here lies an ancient pyramid at the end of a spectacular hike through the Mexican cloud forest. I recommend start hiking the mountain early so you can avoid tons of people, specially on Sundays.
Really nice hot weather in a spectacular mountain filled with trees, and a small pyramid all the way on the top. A must if you are in the south of the city. Its a 1 and a half hour trip. But its really spectacular.
Nobody should miss to hike to the Tepozteco! it is a family friendly hike, however you should bring snacks and water with you, the whole hike is almost set with steps. the views are Amazing from the top and super rewarding the way back once you find the ice cold Micheladas!
El Tepozteco is an archaeological site in the Mexican state of Morelos. It consists of a small temple to Tepoztecatl, the Aztec god of the alcoholic beverage pulque.
