Maxwell Hill is both Malaysia's oldest and smaller hill station. Located at 1,036 meters (3,399 feets) above sea level, the mountaintop resort provides a refreshing escape from the stifling tropical heat below. The British established a small village at the top in 1884. Colonial-style bungalows and a distinct English flair remain.
