Lovely gardens. Unfortunately the museum is currently closed due to some concerns after the Wellington earthquake. Still an iconic building. Could also visit the Blue baths thermally heated pool.

Another park to visit in town is Kuirau Park where you can see Mud pools and thermal activity - and its all free.

Beautiful walk through well maintained gardens and the museum is a lovely building inside and out.
