Guardsman Pass to the west, and the Bonanza Flats backcountry area to the east. It is located just south of Tri-County Peak, where Summit, Wasatch, and Salt Lake counties meet, and also provides summer hiking and winter snowmobiling access to Clayton Peak at the top of Brighton ski area
Beautiful viewpoint. Access to the pass closes during winter (usually starting in November) through spring (usually into May).
Beautiful drive through Guardsmen pass in the warmer months when it’s open, lots of hiking and biking with amazing views that will take you over in Brighton and solitude resort for more Hikes and site seeing

If you go past this lake by another 20-30 minutes, you'll find a smaller, more secluded lake as well. Pretty all of the time but especially in wildflower season :)
