Your experience throwing on your own Japanese Shimpo wheel will be fun and informal yet informative and productive. You're definitely going to throw your own bowls. We start by familiarising you with our Pottery studio, the wheels equipment and tools we will use during your experience. Then it's straight onto the wheel where you learn to centre the clay, and throw a pot. Once you have your pot formed we'll clean it up a bit and lift your creation from the wheel to dry. Then we'll do it again. You will be shown how to throw 4 shapes in the time NOTE PLEASE: No children under the age of 12 yrs old, this is an adult experience and not catering for children Please be aware there is a small extra cost if you decide to keep your pots, this is for the bisque kiln firing and seashell and granite glazing(see photos) and you can decide either way on the day if you want to keep your them (or not) and how many (Postage & Packing is included in the additional cost.). No pressure to keep anything its entirely your choice £12p pot if you can collect £15 P&P The pots dry for about 3 weeks, rubbed down, marked with your name, then into the kiln for 2 days to bisque fire, they then are glazed by Rob with his hand sourced materials, Cornish granite and seashells, back in the kiln for 2 days. Upon arrival at the farm you will explore the vast farm area with a walking tour. You can see and learn about the multi-species mixes we plant and the biodiversity this creates within each field. You will meet our Jersey girls, watch the milking process in our parlour and Sam will engage in a Q&A for any questions you may have about our low impact style of farming. We will serve up delicious treats for you to try and you will leave the experience with a glass bottle of the freshest Jersey milk to take home and enjoy and a new understanding of sustainable, natural, organic farming! Other things to note: Please be prepared for all weathers, wear suitable footwear and be prepared to get a little muddy. Ideally you should bring a change of footwear and something to put your dirty shoes in. We will provide an ice cream and a bottle of milk however no other food or drink is included.

A Kayak tour around the bay reveals an old stone fort built to protect the area from pirates and a variety of marine life. Where the harbour meets the open sea, paddlers are rewarded with views of the Pembrokeshire coast towards Dinas Head, a rugged coastline of towering cliffs and caves. Fishguard Bay is a place of natural beauty and tranquillity. The deep bay, surrounded by high cliffs, offers calm seas and natural protection from Pembrokeshire’s characteristic coastal winds and waves – the perfect place to go kayaking. We'll kit you out with toasty wetsuits and equipment to keep you warm happy and afloat. Then after a quick safety briefing, we'll hop on the kayaks (single and tandems available). Next a practice and a play before heading off around our sheltered coastline talking about local history and marine life. Paddling into the secluded bays and caves that can be found on the Pembrokeshire coast is a great experience not to be missed. All our tours are tailored to the group and the weather to maximise enjoyment. Great for couples and groups of friends. Your photo memories are free and included in the cost of the experience. You'll arrive at our farm where you will be greeted by Farmer Emma and her team, you will then walk through the barn where have animals wanting a cuddle. You will go up into the shop where we will have a brief health and safety chat, you will then receive your bag of feed for your alpaca and we will head into the field to meet all of our trekking boys. Once you have chosen your Alpaca and had a stroke of their super soft fleeces, we will walk around and up the field through our paddocks where we have other sheep and alpacas. With stunning views of Bodmin moor and our animals you will spend approx 1 hour walking around the fields where we will feed, and take photos. Once back down in the shop you will have your Cornish Cream tea, all made with Cornish products. You will be able to ask questions and mooch around our shop and see all our lovely quality made products. We hope to see you on the rolling hills of Bodmin Moor soon. Not to mention scrambling up gullies, swimming through sluices, getting washed around in whirlpools, or exploring large caves. Coasteering has something for everyone and provides a unique way to explore the coastline in a fun and relaxed environment​. Arriving at our central base in Newquay, you'll be welcomed by myself or one of the team. After an introduction and a quick overview of your activity, it's time to jump into wetsuits and start getting kitted up for your experience. Once everyone is ready, our coasteering location locally known as 'the Gazzle' (Cornish word for armpit) is just a short 5 minute walk away. Before we enter the sea your guide will explain and demonstrate all the various elements you will come across and the skills and techniques you'll need to have an amazing time. Remember you don't need any previous coasteering experience & you won't have to do anything you don't want! BUT you must be confident to swim at least 50 metres in open water. Other things to note Coasteering is an activity governed by the tide and sea conditions on the day. Our session times reflect the best today conditions each day. No coasteering experience is necessary​​​ to join. You can do as much or as little as you like.

Come and see the stunning Swanaford Estate with a 90-minute tour and tasting experience. The experience starts with a guided tour of beautiful Swanaford vineyard in Devon, during which guests will hear the story of how two people with no background experience came to have a vineyard on Dartmoor and the adventures we have had growing grapes and making wine. This is followed by a wine tasting experience which includes all of our wines and a local, award-winning gin. While the tasting experience is going on, we'll talk guests though the wine making process including the passion and delicate balance of work that goes in to making Traditional Method English Sparkling Wine. There will also be an opportunity to look around our winery where the grapes are pressed and the magic happens! Your guide will be one of our experienced vineyard managers.

Take a horse drawn carriage trip back in time to a calmer, slower age, & learn a little about the glory of working horses at our traditional horse powered farm. We have no tractors! We start in the horse barn & encourage guests to interact with our wonderful horses while we harness them, but if you prefer, you can watch from a distance. Learn a little about the horses, their working life, their harness & equipment before we hitch up & climb aboard to begin your trip back in time through the peaceful countryside surrounding our farm. Out on the ride I will share some local farming practices, a bit of local history, & give you an insight into our way of life, but if you want peace & quiet, we can do that to! We can adjust timings & numbers to suit your party. Our hay wagon can accommodate up to 15 people in a private group. Our carriages are comfortable but open to the elements, & it can sometimes get cold, so make sure you bring warm & weatherproof clothing. We encourage children to take an active part in proceedings if they wish. The welfare of our horses is important to us and we are proud of their condition, their turnout and their behaviour. Your support makes a huge difference to the viability of our farm and we hope you leave us with a real sense of the nobility of our working horses & of having travelled back in time in our horse powered time machine!

Join us for a fantastic coastal tour and explore of the bay. You will arrive at our vibrant hub and we will get kitted up and safety briefed. The excitement then begins to build as you are taken onboard one of our boats ready for a leisurely coastal tour. The tour starts in MDL Marina where we make our way past the many expensive and exclusive motor yachts - once out of the marina we are in open seas. We hug the stunning coastline which is rich in geology and wildlife and is what makes the English Riviera so unique. We then seek for our resident pod of dolphins, keep an eye out for seals basking on the rocks and explore the many secluded cove and caves. It really is an experience that will not be forgotten.

A fantastic one and half hour workshop ,harnessing the necessary skill set to work artistically with resin. You’ll learn the fundamental skills required to create your very own resin art Ocean master piece. This masterpiece will be a 250 x 300 mm piece of priceless art, framed and ready for you to hang in your home. I offer private surf lessons on the beautiful beaches of North Devon (Westward Ho!) for all ages and abilities, with an emphasis on safety and fun. I run private surf lessons, customized specifically to your ability and needs, with groups of up to 4 people to ensure safety and high-quality tuition. The lesson will have a run time of 1.5 hours. For first time and beginner surfers we will start with a safety brief followed by some surf theory. We will then cover how to catch waves and stand on the board. After that we will jump in the ocean and let the magic unfold! For more intermediate and advanced surfers we will cater to your needs and levels accordingly. All surf equipment (Wetsuits and surfboards) will be included. **Availability is limited as I work full time for the RNLI, however, I will do my best to accommodate everyone.**

Our sea kayaking adventure in Studland bay is something pretty special. It marks the beginning of the Jurassic Coastline, a UNESCO World Heritage sight which also happens to be an iconic landmark Old Harry Rocks, that is filled to the brim in myth, magic and legend, with the tales of pirates and smugglers contributing to the history of our home which we happily share along the way. Old Harry Rocks is a beautiful and iconic sea kayaking destination, and the best way to explore this iconic landmark is from a sea Kayak, our hut on the shores of Middle beach is just a short paddle away. After an inital safety briefing you will join us and jump aboard the kayaks to explore Studland bay in Dorset before heading out to Old Harry Rocks. From here, you will be guided you to explore the sea caves, arches and stacks of this iconic landmark by kayak. We will have frequent stops to discuss this area of outstanding natural beauty and there will ample opportunity to learn about the eco system and geology along the way. These trips are run using double sit on top kayaks so you will be sharing a kayak. If you are booking an uneven group number we have some single kayaks for this situation, if you want a single kayak please contact us and we can discuss this with you. Min age 12+. No experience required.

Come and join us on a half-day courses in fused glass. Never cut glass or know much about fusing? No worries! We welcome all abilities from beginners to more experienced carfters who want to bring their own design. We run workshops Tuesday-Saturday 10am-12.30pm or 2-4.30pm (minimum age of 10 if accompanied by an adult). In a 2 1/2 hour workshop you can create one of our many designs (including wall plaques, animal ornaments, hanging decorations etc.) or something of your own design. The course includes tuition and a set amount of glass. If you wish to create a large piece then you are more than welcome to attend several sessions or pay for the extra glass you require. All pieces will be fired in the kiln overnight so you can usually collect them the next working day. Alternatively postage can be organised for an additional cost. We are able to drill your pieces on request if you want them hung with ribbon or displayed on a wall. Along with with additional kiln runs to make bowls or curved pieces these will have an additional cost. Booking is advisable, especially during the holidays when we get particularly busy. This coastal foraging and Bushcraft introduction course in studland in Dorset is perfect for families, couples and individuals. Our expert team are waiting to share their knowledge of wild plants, the medicinal properties, how to harvest the plants and prepare them for eating. The foraging course takes place along the shore and in the woods and will include a Bushcraft taster session in our woodland. Join us to take away some tasty morsels of information to help reconnect with the great outdoors in a new and nutritious way! This is the perfect family activity or an ideal way to spend a few hours with friends or join the group as an individual and meet like minded folk.

The terrain is flat and follows the beautiful coastline, with refreshments and toilets en route. Guests will be enthralled to hear about her early years in Torquay, her bitter/sweet marriage to Archie Christie, and where she found the inspiration to create her legendary murder mysteries and characters. I will provide guests with an understanding of who she was and how she bounced back from personal and professional challenges to become the world's most successful author There is an opportunity to create a 'murder' at her bust.... you can stand where Agatha stood 100 years ago on the pier. You'll also hear Agatha speaking! Guests are invited to recreate the occasion when Miss Marple and Poirot met for the only time to commemorate Agatha’s 100th birthday. By the end of the tour, you'll have a better appreciation of her outstanding contributions during both World Wars, her courage to travel alone to Baghdad and become a distinguished archaeologist, and how her books continue to touch the lives of millions around the world. Upon arrival we’ll run through the basics before demonstrating pottery throwing on the wheel to make a small Pot. It’s then over to you to ‘throw’ your own small pot (or two, time permitting). Your creation/s will need to be left with us for drying and kiln firing ready for you to decorate at home with your own acrylic paints and varnish. The price includes firing of one pot only, second pots can be kiln fired for an additional cost. Your pot/s can be collected approx 6-8 weeks from the date of your experience or we can post for a small additional cost. Allow up to 1hr 30mins in total for this experience. This session is a fun ‘taster’ pottery throwing for those who have never tried a potter’s wheel and always fancied ‘having a go’. Aprons are provided but we recommend wearing clothes you won’t mind getting a little messy. Please message if you require availability for a date not shown, or have a larger group. Other things to note: Our studio is situated in a pedestrian only shopping precinct, however, we are a just few minutes walk from bus stops, nearby street parking and pay and display car parks at Chilcote Close and Hampton Avenue.
