Just booked in Bellingham

Within walking distance of both Western Washington University and downtown Bellingham, this cozy, private, comfortable studio is a great and affordable option for visiting the heart of Bellingham.
This small, space is great for an affordable, private stay in Bellingham. We offer a queen bed with comfortable, freshly laundered, high quality linens. There is also a full sized futon that can be used as a couch or bed. Therefore, the space can accommodate four, but is not ideal as the space is small. We do offer a fridge on the front porch and a coffee pot, but there is no kitchen.
The best part of the neighborhood (York) is that it is in close proximity to everything. We are within walking distance to downtown Bellingham or Western campus (both are within a mile). There are also a couple neighborhood diners/pubs that are great places to unwind while enjoying Bellingham. The neighborhood is well represented by University students who occasionally exhibit normal University student energy.
  • I had a lovely time while in Bellingham and staying at Chris and Amy's wonderful place. It was cozy, great access to downtown, and perfect for my stay there while on business. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the place, down to the cooler with refreshments for me (I was too tired to notice when I arrived but loved the sentiments). This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a place that isn't smack dab in the hustle and bustle of downtown, but that is close enough to make it accessible. If you stay here, you'll enjoy it!

  • This little place was so cozy. It was blustery and frigid outside so I could hear the wind at times, but inside I was able to crank up the space heater and stay nice and warm. The bed was ridiculously comfortable. Chris and Amy even had extra toiletries, plush towels, and seemed to think of all the things you could need if you were staying away from home. They even left some snacks and beer (which everyone seems to love!). It was as expected from the description, which was nice to not have any surprises. I would definitely stay here again if I needed a space to crash in Bellingham.

  • This place was exactly as described and provided an affordable place to stay close to where we needed to be for my sister's college graduation from Western. Its cozy but not too small. Getting there from I5 was a snap, and there's even nice private parking and entrance. We were gone most of the time we "stayed" there so we did not get a chance to meet our hosts, but they've been amazing at communication through AirBnB and left us a note in the unit. One thing to note, however, is the lack of AC which can be a problem in August during the hotter days. Luckily it cools off in the evening and there's plenty of airflow, but it could be too hot for some people.

  • Highs: Bed super comfortable! Thoughtfulness: Drinks in cooler. A multitude of toiletries. A designated parking spot. Advice: I arrived super late from Seattle. If it is really late when you arrive, just take your time and follow their directions. If you are squeamish about tap water, bring some bottled water. The tap water is fine, I just prefer bottle. Trip notes: I arrived in late, slept wonderfully and headed out before 6:00 am. I headed down to the bay to drink coffee and work at Woods Coffee. The coffee shop was so fantastic and only a few minutes from the house. I watched the sun rise while sea lions swam by. It was magical. Around noon, I drove up to Mt. Baker on the scenic highway and went for a hike on tabletop. It is only a 90 minute Gorgeous drive. Stop in Maple Falls at the gas station to get water and an apple before taking a hike. There aren't really any great stops after that. After hiking around, I drove back down to Bellingham then took the highway along the ocean to Chuckanut Manor. I got there early enough to get the corner spot on the back deck. I had oysters and halibut with a negroni as my dessert. :) I watched the ocean and the trains go by. Life was pretty awesome. Then I drove back to Bellingham to watch the sunset at the local park on the water. It was one of the most magical traveling days of my life and I spent half of it working! Thank you, Chris and Amy for making the whole thing so easy with your great little place. It was so close to everything.

  • Had a great time! Perfect little cabin like place. Close to downtown.

  • This place was in the ideal location, easy to find off the freeway, close to restaurants and shops but felt secluded once at the place. Excellent hosts who communicated well and made the place spacial with small special touches. After staying at numerous budget hotels during a multi state US road trip, this was the most comfortable location and best night of sleep we had. Highly recommend to anyone going through the area!

  • A couple friends and I stayed in Chris and Amy's studio for a night during the Bellingham stay over during the RSVP Seattle to Vancouver bike ride. Amy came outside right when she noticed some rather worn cyclists roll up front. The place was perfect for our needs and close to all the essentials (pizza and beer). Chris and Amy really went above and beyond to accommodate our group by securing our bikes for us and providing all the info we needed to have a comfortable and smooth stay. Would stay again if I return to Bellingham.

A little cottage in Chuckanut Village, nestled creek side with a wide view of the bay. A huge garden to explore and graze from, cozy greenhouse, chicken tree house for the hens, kayaks to paddle into the bay, private hot tub, large fire pit, and BBQ.
This is a classy little cottage in Chuckanut Village, nestled literally creek side. This dynamic hangout beckons you to kick up your feet in the eclectic garden with curvy raised beds and a chicken tree house. We also have a gorgeous little greenhouse built from mostly up-cycled materials. Come collect your own eggs and graze from the garden, and stay a while. Hot tub and >5 kayaks available. We list the Hobbit House currently as a two night minimum stay. However, occasionally we have single nights left available, and you CAN make a request for those. We do have an upcharge of $30 for those single nights to cover for the extra cleaning. The cottage echos the designer main house, connected by boardwalk and lovely private garden. Hostess is a horticulturalist who loves to share creative thoughts. Watch the tides change, and smell the salt air, pick some greens for your salad from the garden and treat your palate to some fresh flavors. This retreat is ideal for one or two guests, as there is just one queen-size bed. Children are welcome as well, but please note that this space is small-- we call it the Hobbit House for a reason!-- and it is not child-proofed. The Hobbit House has a nice little galley (kitchen) inside with a mini fridge, two-burner hot plate, and toaster/convection oven. The kitchen is stocked with fresh eggs from our chickens, coffee & tea with all the fixings, a few other breakfast goodies, and cooking essentials (spices, olive oil, etc.) all included in the price of your visit! We appreciate if you eat red meat to BBQ it outside in the outdoor kitchen area adjacent to the Hobbit House. This small cedar building also houses the shower, which has a limited hot water tank. Please note that showers must be kept short! We provide environmentally friendly shower products for you to use, as the water drains into the garden. The space feels very beachy/nautical. Please note that we have a composting toilet. We have a high sensitivity to this marine environment and our mutual stewardship of this special retreat.
Incredible little historic village setting. Old and young, a blend of very friendly, mellow dog lovers.
  • A charming and thoughtfully curated little hobbit house, perfect for a short romantic getaway. Bay views from the bed, the creek flows right next to the cabin, and don't forget the steaming hot tub. Alison was great with pre-visit communication and warmly welcomed us to her gem of a property while ensuring we had plenty of privacy as well. We could not have been more pleased to ring in the new year at the hobbit house and plan to return in the summer to experience the garden, lush foliage, and kayaking!

    Mara2013-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our Christmas Day getaway to the Hobbit Hideaway was just what we were hoping for! The hot tub was hot, the surroundings were peaceful and the cabin was cozy. Every nook and cranny of the cabin is designed to be useful and the giant windows looking out on water on all sides was awesome. Such a unique space! Alison was a lovely host and made the place feel private while being very helpful and friendly. I can't wait to come back in the summer to enjoy the fire pit and lush garden!

    Colleen2014-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely time at the cabin! We took full advantage of the hot tub which was a delicious way to enjoy the crisp fall (almost winter!) air. We spent our time hundled in the cabin reading books, writing, cooking, drinking tea and cocoa and watching movies. Alison was very sweet and inviting and has a lovely piece of property nestled on Chuckanut Bay. We took a nice day hike on the trails nearby and enjoyed watched the last few salmon work their way up the creek. We felt so connected to nature. Highly recommend this cabin getaway.

  • One of the neatest places I've ever stayed! The perfect place to get away and relax. Alison is a wonderful host and really makes you feel welcome.

  • Alison was a wonderful hostess. The hobbit house was immaculately clean and very well equipped with an excellent use of space. All the provided bedding and furnishings were high quality. Overall a very comfortable stay. We'll definitely be back to enjoy the tranquility on our next visit to bellingham!

  • Wonderful place to go and spend a couple nights. We felt so welcomed by Allison and Sabrina the first night and enjoyed every bit of the time we spent at the Hobbit House. Thanks!

    Gretchen2014-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Alison made us feel very welcome at the Hobbit Hideaway. We had a wonderfully relaxed visit, despite the weather not being totally cooperative. We still managed to go for a walk on the nearby beach and make use of the hot tub, but kayaking was a bit more than the weather would allow for. We came away saying that we wished we had had two more days to spend there. We loved the little cabin and garden. Alison made sure we had everything we could have needed and was always available if we had questions. She provided us with a few eggs and delicious English muffins that we cooked up in the tiny kitchen. It was just lovely!

    Kate2014-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved your little house, your beautiful decorations and garden, and your hospitality! We especially loved having interaction with your sweet pets! It made us feel at home! Thank you so much!

The NOMAD'S NEST is a charming private studio with a kitchenette, bathroom, & communal hot tub. It is an eco-friendly & globally inspired space entirely crafted by us with thoughtful touches throughout. Our guests often comment that it has been their favorite airbnb experience. We welcome nomadic travelers from across the globe! Please note that you climb a flight of stairs to reach it. We charge an additional one time fee of $25 if you require the set up of the sofa bed.
Thoughtfully custom built & decorated by us. We sourced our local RE-Store for materials, our nomadic adventures, & creativity. Guests have described our space by using the word “hygge,” a Danish term defined as “a quality of coziness and comfort that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.” Pronounced “hoo-guh,” the word has no direct translation in English, though “cozy” comes close. We think this word perfectly captures what we strive for. The Nest provides a cozy retreat for a couple or solo traveler. It can also accommodate a third adult/child on a sofa bed (1 x set up fee of $25).
Sunnyland voted BEST neighborhood in Bellingham by the Cascadia Weekly. Our neighborhood, while not fancy, is funky, artsy, and low-key! That is why we love it. A few things that put us on the "best" neighborhood list are: Trader Joe's (groceries), Kulshan Brewery (best IPA), The Home Skillet (voted best breakfast), & the Sunnyland Stomp (Neighborhood Art Walk in July).
  • Perfectly clean, nice modern place in a comfortable neighborhood. Nice little welcoming touches (small bottle of wine, cookies). We arrived after a 100 mile bike ride, Keri and Ant weren't there but everything worked as promised, including putting our bikes in their garage. They had the air conditioner going, it was a hot day. After a shower and snack, the hot tub was a great place to recuperate. Had pleasant little chats with them later. They provided a folder with local information; we ate breakfast at a restaurant a couple of blocks away that opened early on Sunday.

    Tim2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Keri and Ant's place is warm and welcoming. Their attention to detail made us feel very much at home. The neighborhood is quiet, charming and conveniently located. I wish that we had a longer stay to enjoy the area and apartment. Thanks for a great stay!

    Jennifer2014-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Nomad's Nest is great! It is comfortable and decorated simply but with a flair. Keri and Ant have really thought about their guests and it shows, with coffee/tea set-up, locally baked cookies, and a bottle of wine to welcome us. From flipflops to use to get to the hot tub to extra toiletries (in case you forgot something), they have taken care to ensure that their guests are taken care of. Communication was handled very smoothly and we were very happy to have this place to call ours while we checked out Bellingham. We would definitely stay here again.

  • We recently enjoyed a delightful stay in The Nomad's Nest. It's a most comfortable place with a cheerful ambiance. The many thoughtful details made for a relaxing experieince. The location in Bellingham places it within walking distance of downtown, nice restaurants and Trader Joe's. One of the most enjoyable parts of our stay was meeting Keri and Ant. They are friendly, interesting hosts who clearly love what they're doing. We plan to return to Bellingham and "The Nest" one day. Warm thanks Keri and Ant

  • We stayed here for one night while in Bellingham attending a wedding. The room itself is great with all of the comforts of home and charming decorations. The location is also great in a quiet neighborhood but will walkable to many shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again for longer.

    Adam2015-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Nomad's Nest was the most ideal stay we could have envisioned on our trip between Seattle and Vancouver. The suite is so charming, accessible, and private all at the same time. Waking up to the fresh air and lots of light (those skylights are amazing!) was all we could have asked for to cap off our trip. Keri and Ant are fantastic hosts, and while we didn't get the chance to meet them during our short stay, they made us feel as if we were good friends stopping by for a visit and provided everything we could possibly need. We hope to be back to visit!

    Carley2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had an incredible time at Keri and Ant's Nomad's Nest! The space is so warmly welcoming, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully finished (adorable: mini signs to direct you to all the things you need!). AND it's nestled in a cute neighborhood with a phenomenal breakfast spot (Homeskillet = SO yum). We have stayed at many airbnb's, and would highly recommend this space. Keri and Ant are wonderful hosts with the perfect blend of interested/helpful/available and respecting of privacy. They were working on some exciting new projects while we were visiting, and have accumulated many awesome life experiences- we loved their company and hope to see them again! Thanks to them, we had an awesome Bellingham experience. You should probably stay here too. :)

  • This was our first airbnb experience and we have already reserved another place to stay on the Oregon Coast. We have been impressed with airbnb's quick response time to answer any questions along the way, but they have made the booking process very simple.

Amy and I have recently updated this turn of the century, 800+ sf character home. The Bungalow is located within walking distance of both WWU (1 mile) and downtown Bellingham (1 mile) and the neighborhood boasts several great breweries and dining options. The bungalow is located on a dead end, single-family zoned street and is a great option for someone looking for a private, centrally located and affordable neighborhood place to stay while visiting Bellingham.
This house is a turn of the century character home in the York neighborhood. We have relished the opportunity to fix it up. Major updates have been made to the roof and electrical. I installed new hardwood to the foyer, living room, dining room and bedroom #2. Both the exterior and interior have fresh coats of paint and I replaced the front porch. The kitchen could use an update but is clean and has fully functional appliances and is stocked with everything you need to cook. Sorry, no dishwasher.
The best part about York neighborhood is that it is in close proximity to everything. We are within walking distance to downtown bellingham or Western campus (both are within a mile). There are also a couple neighborhood diners/pubs that are great places to unwind while enjoying bellingham. The neighborhood is well represented by University students who occasionally exhibit normal university student energy.
  • Our stay was exactly what we had hoped for. The bungalow was very clean, well maintained, quiet street, and felt very safe. The bed, pillows and blankets were comfy! That's so important for us as we were driving so much during our travels and having a comfortable place to rest was key! Our communication with the hosts was great from the get go and continued throughout and following our stay. We had all of the privacy one would need and it felt like we were at home. Most imprtoantly, it was a great stay for our 3 month old baby! We love Bellingham and would definitely stay here again in our next trip.

    Kari2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Amy’s place is adorable, conveniently located, and sparkling clean. I particularly appreciated the coffee maker!

    Betsy2018-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Bungalow is fantastic! Two cozy beds and all the comforts of home are here. There are books, games, streaming services, a kitchen stocked with the tools necessary to make a good meal during your travels, all the blankets you could ever need on a winters night and it's close to downtown. And let me say, the bathroom is great - I forgot my toothbrush and there were some there for just that purpose. There are a ton of personal touches that make this place more like a home away from home than anything else. It's a very cute, little house that is clearly loved. I chose this place because of its location and the fact that it's a stand alone house with attentive and caring hosts. You won't be disappointed!

  • Great spot. Highly recommend. Good location, nice space.

  • This small home was a perfect place to stay while visiting Bellingham. Super cute, clean, and the beds are really comfy!!

  • This little two bedroom bungalow is on a small dead end road in a quiet neighborhood. We walked into the city in 25 minutes. It has two smaller bedrooms, a lovely front sitting room/living room, a welcoming entry, and a great little kitchen with everything you need. The place is cozy and warm with eye-catching natural decorations. We loved it’s location, it’s comfortableness, and the hosts were great. Very communicative and helpful when we were looking for a place to dine. We would definitely come back here. It’s a great place to hang out in on a winter, windy, blustery day. It felt like home to us.

    Karen2018-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Chris and Amy's charming bungalow! This place has so much unique character and we loved it! It is the type of home we are looking for when we move to Bellingham. The house was warm, inviting, and clean. Everything that you could need is available. The check-in process was so easy, there is a dedicated parking space for guests who stay in the bungalow, and check out was just as easy. Chris and Amy were very prompt with answering any questions and made sure we had everything we needed. If we weren't moving to Bellingham, we would stay in this space again =) There were also fresh flowers, candy, and a lovely note to welcome us. It felt like home.

  • Everything was set up for easy check in when we arrived and check out when leaving. Enjoyed the forested area and the outside light coming into the room was pleasant. The heated bathroom floor and hot tub were wonderful.

    Josh2018-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great night in a very clean and comfortable place. The house is separated from the host so it’s like having your own place. Also, you cant complain or have a bad time when there is a brand new hot tub just outside you’re front door. The place is spacious and has all the commodities one would need. As go for the hosts, they are wonderful people, very welcoming and accommodating! I would defiantly recommend staying here while visiting bellingham, you won’t regret it!

Our studio is close to everything Bellingham has to offer. Just blocks from downtown, we are walking distance from nightlife, museums, restaurants, parks, and the waterfront. We know you'll dig the location! We love our Lettered Streets neighborhood, our view of the Bay, and proximity to all the good stuff. You'll feel at home with a private entrance, full kitchen, and washer/dryer. With tons of historic charm, yet a newly renovated space, this is the perfect spot to enjoy this quirky fun town!
This is the third floor of a 19th century home. There are two sets of stairs, and electronic locks to access your private studio. The studio has a full kitchen, and we provide the basics to cook simple items. If guests want to do more extensive cooking, we are happy to provide the tools, however we do not keep everything in the unit, nor do we keep any food or condiments. If you have the need for more specialty cooking tools, we ask that the guest communicates this need. This also goes for basic household items such as irons, hairdryers, etc. We are minimalists in many ways, but can always share/provide these items. We provide coffee and tea (Keurig) as well has a hot-pot for water. The space has a QUEEN size bed. The living room couch is a small futon that folds into a bed. We do not advertise this as a second bed because it is not a typical "bed". It has worked for many guests with children, or adults who don't mind their feet hanging off the edges. If you have questions about this additional bed, please message us.
Lettered Streets is an awesome neighborhood if you like to be close to downtown restaurants, bars, and businesses. We often walk to the farmers markets or to brunch, and appreciate that we are one of the closest neighborhoods to downtown Bellingham. We love all the breweries, tap-houses, and coffee shops that are blocks away from our house! It is also ideal because it is a short distance (less than a mile) from the waterfront and the Marina (Squalicum Harbor). The fact that we can walk less than a mile to the marina to inspect the yachts, watch the sunset at Zuanich park, or driftwood hunt along Squalicum Beach is a real luxury! We love our location so much, but we still feel it is important to note that because we are only blocks from downtown, parks, restaurants and the waterfront, we have some proximity to areas where the homeless population of Bellingham will congregate. As with any downtown area nationwide, homelessness is rising. It is unfortunate, but we cannot change this fact until certain systemic issues are addressed in our country. And Bellingham, even though picturesque and charming, shares the same disparity in living wage/home prices that the entire west coast is experiencing. However, we love living so close to downtown and have NO issues with our neighborhood. It is considered a desirable and very safe area to live. However, we like to give everyone a heads up... especially those folks that like to ignore that homelessness indeed exists in America. For more info on the Lettered Streets neighborhood feel free to visit: https://www.cob.org/services/planning/neighborhoods/Pages/lettered-streets.aspx
  • Comfy apartment with easy access to the community and shops. The bed was wonderful. I appreciated how quick Lindsy responded to my emails. This stay was my first in an AirB&B and definitely will reserve another one in on my next trip.

  • We loved our 2-night stay at Bay-View Studio. It was so comfy, clean and stylish. Fun touches everywhere, such as the white fur rug under the coffee table, vintage glass pieces, a great closet with hangers and shelves. So nice to have a kitchen space for a leisurely simple breakfast.

    Miriam2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying at Lindsy and Eli's place! Arrival was very seamless and we had great communication throughout our whole stay. We especially loved being able to walk downtown and to Lettered Streets coffee.

    Katie2017-12-03T00:00:00Z

  • The space was very clean and cozy with plants everywhere! It really added to the vibe. Lindsy and Eli are very quick to respond and extremely accommodating. The location is close to downtown yet in a quiet neighborhood. It is close to the train but with a very comfortable bed and a supply of earplugs we had a very lovely sleep.

    Joanna2018-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect studio! The photos do not do this place justice. It's such a unique, spacious, and private light-filled space. The bed was VERY comfortable! Also, there is a washer and dryer which would come in handy for longer stays. Lindsy and Eli were available but mostly stayed out of the way, the check-in/out process was super easy and nice not to have to worry about carrying around extra keys. I would definitely stay here again!

Located in the Historic Fairhaven District in a quiet neighborhood, just blocks from the heart of the shopping district. Private entrance with off-street parking. The Studio is in our warm, dry and sunny daylight basement. Continental-style breakfast supplied including: coffee, tea, juice, almond milk, half and half, nondairy creamer, fruit and gluten-free granola. Everything is (mostly) organic. We do our best to honor special diets, so please let us know if you are allergic or simply avoiding certain foods. Within walking distance of: restaurants, shops, hiking trails, beach, parks, off-leash dog park, heron rookery, Alaska Ferry Terminal, Amtrak and Greyhound Stations. Just a mile from Western Washington University (WWU) and their famous outdoor sculptures. We have a queen-size bed in the room and a futon/love seat that opens up to a single bed (which is large enough for a child or average adult). TV with cable and DVD, WiFi, full galley kitchen, central heating as well as a space heater, fan, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. We created an Adorable Patio just for our B&B guests to the left of the outdoor Welcome sign and up a few steps. We are also gay-friendly. The bathroom has an Om sign design in the shower tile. The shower stall is small and very tall people may have to stoop a bit due to limited height. The Studio has some cool antiques, wicker furniture and art. It's very warm and cheerful. It's, well, adorable! :) We allow dogs in The Adorable Studio. We charge a one-time fee of $10/dog to cover any additional cleaning that we may need to do. You can pay this fee upon arrival. Please let us know prior to your arrival if you are traveling with a dog. We prefer that dogs are not left alone in the Studio, but are willing to consider this on a case by case basis. We have a black and white cat named Kali. She's very shy so you may not get to meet her. We also have a young dog named Bilbo Baggins, who we call Bo. You will definitely get to meet him if you want. He loves meeting people and other animals. The Adorable Studio is located directly below our kitchen and dining room, which have ceramic tile and wood floors. We do our best to be quiet, but you will inevitably hear us as we cook, talk, walk, etc. Also, a few of our children and grandchildren may visit from time to time. If total silence is what you are after, you may not get it at our Studio. The futon love seat is a true futon with a thick cotton mattress and foam core. It is FIRM. The queen-size bed has an extra-firm mattress with a memory foam mattress pad on top. Very comfy. The entire space is 350 square feet, so it is best suited for a single person or couple. If you are traveling with children, please be aware that it's a tight fit if the love seat is made into a bed. Saralee's watercolor paintings are displayed in the Studio, some of which are for sale. You will see a tag with the price in the corner of the frame. We are right next door to Airbnb listing Fairhaven Garden Suite, which sleeps two. If you have more folks you're traveling with than we can accommodate, perhaps they could stay next door! ***Note to bikers, paddlers and skiers: We have a garage adjacent to the studio where you can safely store your gear.
Safe and friendly, close to Fairhaven's urban village, inter-urban hiking trails and Western Washington University.
  • We had a lovely night. Hosts were very accommodating and everything we needed was provided. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Our 2nd stay, and just as warm-comfy-relaxing as the 1st. Gracious hosts, flexing as our arrival time changed, superb home-made bread & granola, comfy bed... all simple pleasures that mean a lot. Check out the Fire House Café/coffeehouse within walking distance (14th St. & Harris Ave.), too. Hope we return for a 3rd stay, and more!

    Cathy2013-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed one night at this "Adorable Fairhaven Studio" and that is exactly what it was! My two Labradors and I arrived in a rain storm and Saralee and Jerry were so welcoming and gracious. The apartment is lovely with everything one needs and then more----homemade bread and granola are just two examples. The location is perfect----an easy walk to trails, the beach etc. Thank you so much. I hope to return.

    Elizabeth2015-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This studio was wonderful in every way! Fresh apple pie and bread were ready on hand and the hosts were incredibly nice and cool. A wonderful place to stay. I will definitely come back often.

  • We loved our weekend stay at the Adorable Studio!

    Damarys2013-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Completely adorable! It was a perfect fit for me and my 18 year old daughter. We came to Western for their preview and were delighted with how close we were to WWU. Sara is also adorable and very detailed about the space, with homemade granola and bagels. Bathroom and kitchen products safe and miundful. The double bed was lovely. Exceeded our expectations and I handed out some of their cards to other prospective parents who may need a place to stay when visiting their young college students.

    Connie2014-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • My experience with Saralee as my host was excellent in every way. The studio is quiet and clean, has a private entrance, convenient parking, and in every way lives up to the description provided online. Saralee was very gracious, making me feel comfortable and providing helpful directions and suggestions for area businesses and restaurants. I had some big errands to do in a short time, and her suggestions made it so much easier! The home-made bread and granola were wonderful, and getting to know Saralee even briefly was a pleasure. I am also grateful that she was able to accommodate me when I had to make a change in my reservation. Five stars for Saralee and her delightful BnB! I will definitely be back.

Our conveniently located urban farm—complete with chickens and plenty of vegetable and flower gardens—is within walking distance of downtown Bellingham, where you'll find a wide array of restaurants, coffee shops, live music venues, art exhibits, nightlife, public transport and much more. Our garden-view daylight basement apartment is great for couples, solo adventurers, friends, business travelers or someone needing a place to stay while they explore their own options for living here.
  • Amy's place was fantastic! Great space with an expansive garden. Enjoyed the farm fresh eggs and garden tomatoes. Loved meeting all the animals. Amy was very accommodating, especially since we weren't quite sure when we would arrive. We highly recommend her place and would definitely come back!

    Tammy2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Amy's. The location could not of been more convenient. Close to shopping, downtown and the university. The space is even bigger then the pictures make it look. Yard was beautiful and the chickens were a delight. My group had 3 different airbnb spaces. Amy's was the one everyone said they would go back to.

    Elizabeth2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodations were perfect for my trip. I was in Bellingham to share time with my son and his wife. Amy's place was close, quiet, comfortable, and very friendly...

    Sandra2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place rocks! Strong communication with Amy before our arrival was a great start to our stay. The yard and garden views were spectacular with the hens doing their chicken things to the giant irises of various vibrant color to the picnic table to commune at. My two friends and I enjoyed many freshly laid chicken eggs for breakfast as well as delicious coffee (sugar + cream) left by the hosts. The apartment has everything you need, all in the heart of downtown. There is a grocery store a couple blocks away making it convenient for dining in. I hope to stay again soon! Amy and Erik are the best kind of people and the weekend stay was excellent thanks to them.

    Alicia2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amy and Erik were wonderful hosts. The suite had way more than everything we needed: food, drinks, towels, etc. I loved their backyard and wish I could have spent more time there. And the bed was so comfortable - I didn't want to leave!

    Jenelle2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's place is wonderful! Not only was her place cozy, clean, and convenient, she was also quick in communicating and flexible with check-in times. Her garden and animals were a lovely addition to our stay. We also were very pleased with the location of her place.

    Harmony2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fully functioning basement apartment in a neighborhood with easy access by foot or car to downtown Bellingham. Great place, lovely people, and there are chickens and rabbits in the yard! We were just there for one night, but will be back for sure. It's a good spot for friends traveling together, too, as there's a sofa bed, so two people can share the space without having to share a bed.

    Sara2016-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's place is wonderful! Great location and cozy space that felt just like home! There were fresh eggs from her hens, fruit and biscuits for breakfast, what a treat! A hot shower and warm bed at the end of the day was just what we needed! A beautiful place for two! Stay if you get the chance, we would stay again!

Charming cabin-esque chic suite at the top of Sehome Hill overlooks the town of Bellingham with views of the bay, mountains and arboretum. Enjoy a meditative walk through the garden or make your way to Mt. Baker in the winter months for world-class skiing and snowboarding. Just a short walk through the woods to Western Washington University and a 10m walk into downtown where you'll find a variety of shops and restaurants, this is the perfect spot to feel central but isolated amongst nature.
Indoor fireplace and heated floors make for a cozy stay in the cold months.
  • The place was easy to find, walkable to downtown, and lots of greenery. Super easy check-in and check-out.

    Silvia2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was everything we wanted. The extra effort that Matt put in to make us feel welcome was extra appreciated. It was the perfect destination for our stay during our honeymoon. If you are looking to visit Bellingham or Fairhaven I can not promote better accommodations. This place was great. Only negative thing that I can think of is that when we visited in July the garden in the back was a little overgrown and we could not enjoy sitting out there on a nice day. However there are plenty of other places to sit and enjoy nice weather while in Washington. 5 stars.

    Austin2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot located at the base of the arboretum. Trailhead is right out the front door. Very walkable to downtown area. The apartment itself very nice and cozy. Overall great spot to stay in Bellingham.

    Axel2018-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • It was great! Easy private access and could come and go as we wanted. Super clean, cozy, and the heated floors and fire place was perfect to cozy up during the dreary weather!

    Christine2017-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful little home nestled in the hillside of Bellingham! Definitely recommend staying here! Loved every minute of it :)

    Shelan2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Garden Suite was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. The trails at the arboretum were steps away from the front door and made for wonderful hiking/running. The suite was tastefully remodeled, I loved the woodwork. The bed was so comfy, we didn't want to leave. We will definitely stay here again on a future trip to Bellingham, the location was secluded yet close to town, we walked to Boundary Bay brewing only 1/2 mile away. I would highly recommend Matt's garden suite.

    Nancy2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely gorgeous apartment with stunning views and walkability into the arboretum and into downtown. A truly cozy spot to spend a few days; even if it had been too rainy and cold to go anywhere, I'd have been happy just to relax in the apartment. What a special spot!

    Jen2017-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and beautiful little suite. The garden and views were beautiful. They are conveniently located in town and literally right next to some great hiking/walking trails. The bed and bedding were super comfy and you could see snow capped mountains from bed as well. Very private, yet with expansive views. Would love to stay next time I'm in town.

Enjoy this cheery light filled space with a separate kitchen. Located close to Fairhaven, WWU, Downtown Bellingham, and trails that lead to Chuckanut Mtn, the bay and WWU. Let this be your hub for all you want to experience while in Whatcom County.
This space is attached to the main house where I live. There is an always locked door in the hallway between the two spaces for privacy. There are 3 different rooms which make it more than a traditional studio. The large room has a queen bed and a sitting area. There is an outside entrance to this room with a low deck that looks over the backyard and the garden. This is a great place to sit and watch the sunset. There are 3 steps up from this room into the hallway. Off the hallway there is a bathroom with a large shower (no tub) and another room for a small kitchen with a microwave, a countertop convection toaster oven, a refrigerator, a hot pot and an assortment of cooking and eating dishes and utensils. There is a second outside entrance into the kitchen. I provide tea as well as coffee beans with a grinder and a drip system with an insulated carafe. I also have basic condiments such as mustard, ketchup, vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. I have added an option for a third guest with the use of a 4" foam trifold single size mattress that could be placed on the floor next to the queen bed. This is for guests that want to bring a child or friends that may not want to share the queen bed. Please be aware that this is not a real bed and choose this option with that knowledge.
Wren House is conveniently located close to many popular locations. We are 1 mile from a 24-hour major grocery store in a shopping center with a pharmacy, restaurants, hardware, and REI. We are 1.5 miles from Fairhaven with many shops and restaurants, 1.5 miles from WWU, 2.5 miles to downtown Bellingham with shops, restaurants and award-winning brew pubs, and just 2 blocks to a Greenways Trail that takes you to the Chuckanut Mountains or to Bellingham Bay or WWU.
  • The Wren House is a cozy, clean, private, quiet spot with a garden just out the door and woods beyond the garden. Everything is eco, which was wonderful. Sue left plenty of towels in the bathroom, tea in the kitchen, and extra pillows on the bed. We LOVED staying there. Sue gets my highest rating for a great place to stay.

    Susan2016-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • The experience was perfect. Just what I was hoping for. It's a quick Uber ride into town and a BEAUTIFUL place to wake up.

    Rachael2016-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Sue's garden suite was perfect. Wonderful, cozy bed and duvets; light, airy space; accommodated all the breakfast needs we had (oatmeal and coffee with cream); the studio is well stocked with toiletries, towels, kitchen supplies, etc. Couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for hosting us! We needed that restful night.

    Kara2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great little space, comfortable, cozy, with many thoughtful touches. Quiet, even though close to the freeway, convenient to Fairhaven and Bellingham. I would definitely return.

    Laurie2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Came here for a weekend getaway and had such a lovely time. Sue thought of so many small details that made it such a nice, easy place to stay (eg instant oatmeal, lovely coffee, speaker for your iphone). The place was super clean, cozy and quiet. The yard was lovely, it was so nice to sip coffee while watching the birds fly by and saying hi to the chickens. We had bikes and it was a nice easy bike into Fairhaven and Bellingham. Would absolutely stay here again!

Newly renovated one bedroom apartment in the heart of Old Fairhaven Historic District. Located two minutes walking to downtown amenities. Fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, and privacy. Located above a quiet law office with private, coded access. Next door to this apartment on one side is a private condominium complex and on the other, a home converted into a micro brewery.
This a newly renovated historic building in the center of Old Fairhaven. Originally built in 1909, the building used to be part of the colorful history of Old Fairhaven Prostitution! In it's heyday, it was called "Anne's Palace" and owned by a madam named Anne Bronson. This apartment is small, perfect for two or three people. It starts getting cramped with four adults. Keep that in mind. Please let the host know if you will be needing the sofa bed.
This home is in walking distance to urban trails, the Bellingham Amtrak Station, Community Boating Shed (for kayak and paddle board rentals), and all the wonderful Old Fairhaven downtown shops and restaurants, as well as the Farmer's Market. Please scroll all the way down to see the map and locations marked as points of interest. This apartment is located within walking distance to almost everything in Old Fairhaven. There are several listings, restaurants, and places of interest that have been listed; be sure to read about all the great places in Fairhaven and Bellingham!

  • A great place, very well appointed, and surprisingly quiet at night given it's downtown location. It's nice to stay in a b'n'b unit that understands the notion of personal items such as soaps shampoos, etc as one would find in a professional setting. Kristi was very communicative and ready to help with anything needed.

A unique house in downtown Historic Fairhaven which has been converted into a working micro-brewery. A block away from local amenities, including boutique shops & great restaurants. You can easily hop on to the inter-urban trail which links parks, fantastic hiking, biking & downtown Bellingham. Fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi & a tasty, craft ale is only a step away.
Our cozy home is also home to a small micro-brewery which is housed in shipping containers in the back yard. Guests are welcome to use the backyard which has a fire pit, or the patio upstairs which gets lots of sun to eat their meals. The detached garage has been converted into our taproom, so a tasty ale, created on site is never far away. The bedroom is in the back of the house. It is surprisingly quiet, so you won't be disturbed by patrons of the brewery. In fact, there is the constant gurgling sound of a running stream, which is actually our glycol system that is used to cool our beer and walk-in cooler. The kitchen is fully equipment, including a gas range so you can cook to your hearts delight. There is coffee and tea readily available too. The window above the kitchen sink looks out on to the front beer garden of the brewery. You can always create some privacy by closing the blinds. The dated bathroom has a shower tub, which is stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, toothpaste, first aid kit and most importantly with a tub....soothing bubble bath! The lounge/living area is our biggest space. It receives a lot of light and looks out on to the front street, and a window faces the front beer garden. Again, there are blinds, curtains and sheer curtains to create more privacy for yourself, if you so desire. You can hear the murmur of conversations in the front beer garden. The comfy couch in the living room opens up into sleeper bed. Stairs go upstairs to our office space. There is a door that creates privacy for you downstairs; however, the house is a little squeaky, so you will hear foot steps upstairs as we access the space during office hours and occasionally in the evening to access our merchandise stock for the brewery. We only access the office space through the brewery, and never via your space downstairs.
Our micro-brewery home is located one block from downtown Historic Fairhaven. There are beautiful boutique shops just a stroll around the corner, and great restaurants with some excellent happy hours & food. Obviously, we think Stones Throw Brewery is the best place for a beer, but if you want wine or cocktails we love visiting the Black Cat. Access to the Inter-Urban Trail is across the road. You can bike south towards Fairhaven Park (5min), Arroyo Park (15-20min), Larrabee State Park (45min) or you can bike/walk north into downtown Bellingham which takes you out over the water along the Taylor Dock Board Walk and past Woods Coffee. Talk to us if you are interested in using a bike - we have one available for you. In the summer time the Community Boating Center is open and you can easily rent a paddle board/paddle boat for some fun sightseeing on Bellingham Bay. A block and a half away you will find our local grocery store, Haggens. Very convenient.

  • Travelling for beer, it's hard to beat a place next door to a brewery! Bed was comfy, fireplace was nice, and the bartender (and guests) were all fun and friendly. As promised, the bedroom is away from the bar and perfectly quiet.

  • My wife and I put my family up in this house for the weekend while they visited from the east coast. It worked out great. The place was clean, the beds were comfy, noise from the adjacent brewery wasn't a problem at all, and the location was perfect, for our purposes. Last but not least, the beer was of course delicious.

Adorable 1 bedroom cottage rests in one of the most desirable character neighborhoods of Bellingham and is an easy walk (just over 10 blocks) from downtown and just a few blocks from Elizabeth Park. We provide a light continental breakfast!
The cottage comes with a light continental breakfast! This cute 1 bedroom cottage is a tastefully remodeled garage. It is nestled on a quiet street in a lovely historic neighborhood of Bellingham, WA. Come enjoy the many amenities beautiful Bellingham has to offer. From hiking, to island hoping to skiing and mountain biking our area is perfect for your next adventure! Or simply enjoy our local cafes and pubs and long leisurely strolls along the waterfront - all located within a mile or two of the cottage. The Cottage has a new pillowtop queen bed in the bedroom. The living area has a kitchenette with full fridge, euro stove and cook top. The bathroom includes a powder station (note: there is NO sink in the bathroom yet; we are working with city coding. Most people are not bothered by this because there is a sink in the kitchen, just outside the bathroom, however!) and it's own laundry! The Cottage comes with fresh local coffee, a selection of teas as well as a continental breakfast. Feel free to enjoy our small garden and pergola that shares with our English Tudor home.
Lovely character neighborhood full of restored homes. Sits just north of downtown and is easy walking distance to the water or the many amenities of downtown.
  • Sean was a very congenial and helpful host. My son and I enjoyed our stay in the cottage and our visit to Bellingham. Sean provided an airbed so my son did not have to share with me and there was a hand-painted map of the immediate area in the kitchen, highlighting some of the local landmarks. Nice residential neighborhood, quiet, big trees, close to shopping and parks. Perfect place for a couple's retreat.

  • We loved Julie's cottage. It's clean. The bed is comfy. The outdoor space is lovely. No complaints. Julie was an excellent host, communicative, friendly and accommodating of our little dog. We stayed 3 nights and hope to return again next year. The wine and chocolates and breakfast items in the fridge were a nice surprise.

Located in the heart of the lettered neighborhood. Easy walk to downtown, nearby parks, and restaurants. Close to multiple grocery stores and the bus line. This one bedroom, one bath apartment is brand new - built one year ago and never lived in! The apartment is on the bottom floor of a large house (we live upstairs) with private access and a small fenced-in yard. The other half of the bottom floor is the garage. We welcome all people.
There is one full sized bed in the bedroom and one full sized futon in the living room. There is extra bedding for the futon in the apartment. The kitchen is stocked with lots of tea and coffee! There is a full dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. However, there is no stove or other cooking appliances. The living room has a large tv with sound system. It is easy to hook up your own devices to watch netflix etc. or listen to music. Wifi. We do live on the top floor with our adorable toddler and two friendly, large dogs. You may see them peaking over the backyard fence to say hello.
The Lettered Neighborhood is a hip and quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors.
  • We only stayed one night, but the hosts made sure that we felt welcome: as we are traveling with an infant the hosts let us know that we could check in early if we wanted and there where toys and baby towels laid out for us. Really thoughtfull. The place is roomy and very private. Bed is a bit firm and internet could have been better.

  • Terrific location and terrific deal!

    Stefania2018-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was like staying in an apartment at home and was extremely cozy and just minutes away from all the important stuff.

    Justin2018-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as advertised. Lovely space in the quaint lettered streets neighborhood. Easy walk to any amenities you'd want and a great place to explore the fun city of Bellingham from.

  • Sarah’s place is great! Very roomy for one person, very clean! Everything was so nice!

    Chris2018-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place! Enjoyed my stay and no complaints.

    Joel2018-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of the best AirBnbs I’ve stayed at. Such a cute and private spot in a great neighborhood close to downtown, I wish I could live there! Plus, great hosts and great amenities. Heads up, there’s no oven so don’t get a frozen pizza for dinner (although there are so many great places to eat nearby, so you should be just fine).

    Pt2018-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place to stay, the location is great for any thing you might want to do in Bellingham. Check in was easy as pie. Thanks, Sarah!

A cheerful bedroom with a Queen Tempurpedic bed and private bathroom. Relax on sunny patio in lovely yard or curl up with a book in cozy living room. Excellent location: Walk to downtown, waterfront, restaurants, and parks from this character home.
Welcome to Bellingham, the "city of subdued excitement." Thankfully, my neighborhood is pretty subdued indeed. I hope you enjoy this quiet, safe, block and my handsome home, built in 1900. Cheerful bedroom with cozy living room and big open kitchen. The well-landscaped, private backyard has a nice patio for dining. But if you want to get out and about, this is GREAT location. On the busline to WWU. Only 1 mile to downtown for local shopping, season farmer's market on Saturdays, and plenty of great restaurants. Less than a mile to Bellingham waterfront for superb sunsets and nice walks. Several parks and a few places to eat within walking distance. Or jump in your car and head up the Mt Baker Hwy for some skiing (they boast the most snow of any mountain in N America) or stunning hiking near an active volcano. If you need a big city fix, Vancouver, BC is only an hour away, too!

    Paz2015-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jodi was very welcoming to her beautiful home, which is close to downtown and a walk away to the marina. The neighborhood was very quiet, leading to a good night's sleep. And it was nice to have a private bathroom. I'd definitely stay there again!

    Jim2015-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jodi was an excellent host! Easy going and available if we needed anything, yet gave us our privacy and space. She was warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home. The coffee in the morning was unexpected and a very nice touch! The room was much nicer than what is shown in the pictures and we had a great sleep on the memory foam bed. The house is located close to downtown, is well maintained, and spotlessly clean. We will definitely be back!

    Kathie2013-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in BHam. Everything went well, the house is charming and Jodi is great. The mattress was firm but I like that and slept well. Would stay there again.

    Chris2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time with AirBnB and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Jodi was an extremely welcoming host and my friend and I were fortunate enough to enjoy breakfast with her on our last morning in town. She is very hospitable and fun to talk to. We came to Bellingham for a wedding and Jodi's place was in the perfection location- very safe and tranquil feel to the neighborhood yet great proximity to downtown. Her home was very beautiful and extremely clean. She had many thoughtful touches throughout the home- granola bars/tea/fresh fruit left out for breakfast in the morning, shower gel/shampoo/conditioner in the shower, and even a nice binder filled with recommendations for activities and restaurants in town. I felt very welcome and at home and if my travels ever bring me back to Bellingham I will absolutely be booking with Jodi again!

    Malea2015-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jodi was welcoming and the place was spotless. Great conversations in the little time we had. Nice location close to downtown. Recommended.

    Laurent2015-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jodi was an outstanding host, she gave us privacy and our room and private bathroom was comfortable and clean. It was so nice to have a living room to enjoy and a kitchen to cook in. The bed was very comfortable and we loved that it was a very short walk to downtown. She pays attention to detail and left us breakfast items, treats, fruit cookies and a wide verity of drinks to help ourselves to. Jodi is defiantly a super host! Looking forward to my next trip there.

    Shawna2017-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • I travel to Bellingham from Seattle frequently, and Jodi's home has become my go to 2nd residence. It's rare that I sleep better away from home, but I do in her home. Maybe it's the memory foam mattress, the quiet neighborhood, the waterfront that isn't far, or the feeling of being completely welcome. Whatever it is, it's the perfect formula for a deep rest.

Otherwise most guests report a quiet neighborhood. MY DEAR GUESTS: BELLINGHAM CITY COUNCIL IS POISED TO RESTRICT VACATION RENTALS IN MARCH 2018. This rental and most others may not be available in the very near future. Unfortunately my lovely guests are being cast as unwelcome intruders in the neighborhood. Please contact the Planning Dept and tell them why you use vacation rentals.
The neighborhood, called Lettered Streets, is 1-1.5 miles from Bellingham’s downtown and waterfront. Restaurants, breweries, shops, grocery stores, stage theaters and parks are within walking distance. A classic corner convenience store is a few blocks away.
  • Caroline is a great communicator and the apartment was exactly as advertised. Easy walks to downtown, every convenience and a very homey apartment.

    Megan2017-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • We really liked this neighborhood because we could walk to downtown shops. The home was comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. Caroline was very responsive to any questions. We would stay there again.

    Kristine2017-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy space with large kitchen and bathroom. The bed was amazing. Caroline was lightening quick with her responses. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Caroline was quick to respond to any questions we had, very communicative and accommodating to our schedule.

    Debra2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for what we needed! Caroline was great with her communication, the place was super clean, the bed was very cozy, the kitchen was very well appointed. And the place was much bigger than We ever anticipated. Truthfully we could live in this space! It reminded me of a European flat. My husband loved that the stairs were carpeted and so easy to navigate! I loved and enjoyed the great bathtub. We’ve stayed in MANY Airbnb places over the last 6 months and this was in the top 5. We’ll definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in Bellingham.

    Prabhu2017-10-31T00:00:00Z

A lovely, private, light-filled room in our home, with a private entrance, bath, and basic kitchenette. It's in a quiet neighborhood, close to downtown, backing up to green space, and steps away from hiking and biking trails.
Zen Oasis is a large bedroom with a private entrance and bath in the back of our single-story family home which borders Whatcom Falls Park. It is clean, bright, comfortable, and simply furnished with a queen bed, chair, small table and chairs, and dresser drawers. There is a private deck with two chairs for lounging in the fresh outdoors where you can listen to the birds and nearby Whatcom Creek and waterfalls. It is best suited for shorter stays of up to one week. There is no access to the main house and no cooking facilities, but there is a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, and dishes and utensils for take-out or ready-made meals in the room. Tea and coffee are provided. Zen Oasis is a great place for: - solitude, respite and communing with nature - a comfortable, clean and convenient stay for business or travel - proximity to walking and biking trails - a quiet night's sleep after a busy day of exploring. Zen Oasis may not be great for: - children under 5 years old - late-sleepers (there is a skylight in the room which makes for light-filled mornings.)
Whatcom Falls Heights is the perfect urban neighborhood - close to downtown (just a 10 minute drive or 30 minute bike ride), but with the quiet of the woods and park to make you feel you're far away. Enjoy miles of walking trails through Whatcom Falls Park - the jewel of the city - with a park entrance just a short walk down the street. Bring your bike and explore the Railroad Trail system which runs through the park and takes you all the way downtown in one direction (about three miles each way) or over to Lake Whatcom in the other direction (about a mile).
  • Located on the edge of Whatcom Falls Park, this home is in a lovely, peaceful and green area perfect for morning or evening walks. Kirsten and Jeff have provided everything you could need. The place is tranquil, tasteful and spotless. Although there is no kitchen, there is a wonderful Coop in town as well as a Whole Foods nearby. Kirsten is a kind host and ZenOasis was a perfect place to relax and unwind at the end of busy days.

    Charles2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet comfortable and very relaxing! The view is lovely!

    Laurie2017-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Kirsten's place for my partner's birthday weekend getaway and she absolutely loved it. Kirsten's home is truly magical and exactly as pictured. Whatcom falls park is literally a stone's throw away. The place was very well decorated and clean. The breakfast cookies provided were delicious and we took them on our hike. Kirsten was responsive although we didn't get to meet her; we did meet her husband who was really friendly and warm. Thank you for a wonderful stay, wish we were there for longer!

    Andrea2016-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Kirsten's cozy suite was a wonderful place to call home for a few days' visit to Bellingham! Check-in was a breeze, and the bed and space were super comfortable and peaceful. The back deck and wildlife sounds from the park behind the suite were particularly lovely.

    Cristy2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kristen's place exemplifies what is so remarkable and wonderful about Airbnb. I needed a place to get away from home for a day or two, and luckily happened upon Kristen's lovely little oasis in the woods. Wonderfully quiet, super comfy/cozy, it is indeed, a ZenOasis in the Woods. I got some work done and slept like a baby.

    Paul2016-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful setting, clean and inviting! The bed was amazing! So comfrey! Haven't slept that well in a long time. Then breakfast cookies, coffee and tea in the morning. Even a pitcher of filtered water in the fridge! Wish we were staying another night! Thank you Kristin and Jeff!

    Teresa2016-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Kirsten & Jeff's place is a tranquil oasis in a gorgeous natural setting. I experienced their retreat on the last day of a multi-day, multi-city business trip, and it was just what I needed to feel well cared for amid a lot of hectic travel. The photos and description are spot on: this is a relaxing, beautifully appointed place to recover your sanity. Enjoy!

    Ashley & Christi2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • It's clear that Kirsten and Jeff have put a lot of thought into preparing the space. The entire process is streamlined and smooth as a result and I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend their listing to other guests. I had a wonderful time. Thanks Kirsten and Jeff!

  • Our stay in Bellingham was amazing due in no small part to the excellent hosting and our wonderful stay in the Garden studio. The studio was super cute, well appointed and very spacious. We had a great sleep on the comfy bed and really enjoyed our breakfast of apples, grapes and tomatoes from the garden. The location was perfect for our bike tour from Canada, and was located very close to downtown and all of the breweries. We will not hesitate to re-book this location next time we come to Bellingham and have no hesitation recommending this location to our friends and family. Bonus: the water pressure in the shower is excellent!

    Aaron2014-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The listing photos accurately depict the cottage. The gardens are beautiful. The cottage is bright, tasteful and colorfully decorated. I liked the lush towels and comfortable bed. We liked the morning sun coming through the French doors. The interior was spacious enough for two simultaneous yoga practices. Be advised this cottage has many wheelchair unfriendly features like a large step up into the bathroom. The attractive kitchen counter is two to three inches higher than normal which short people may find challenging.

    David2014-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was the easiest check in ever! The host family made me feel right at home and with my busy schedule, it was so convenient to come and go as needed without feeling like I was disrupting their weekend. The apartment was clean and had everything I needed for a relaxing visit with my daughter.

    Debra2014-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Rakefet was an AMAZING host. She helped me plan to surprise my parents with anniversary treats in the studio before they arrived. The place was immaculate and adorable and perfectly appointed, and my parents loved the garden. Rakefet was so generous with all her fruits and vegetables and our use of the space. She was communicative and responsive to all our needs. This is one of the best airbnb rentals I have ever experienced. I highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Bellingham. Absolutely delightful.

    Ann2015-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet location and a great size for 2 people. Really cute yard to relax in as well! We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Bellingham!

    Lauren2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • I used this space for a food photo shoot and it was perfect! The cottage is bigger than expected and absolutely spotless. The kitchen was well stocked and great for cooking (vegetarian, per Rakefet’s request, which was not a problem for us.) The surrounding gardens and yard are absolutely gorgeous and made for some great photos. Would absolutely stay here again!

    Riley2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We love the Garden Studio. Just a few blocks from main streets and the Haggen market, it's perfectly quiet and surrounded by nature. Rakefet's garden in delightful and Cornwall park is a short walk away. The studio was warm and lit when we arrived on a cold, rainy afternoon. Every comfort of home was available, and Rakefet is the dearest host. We look forward to a summer stay when the garden is in full bloom!

    Pamela2015-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Rakefet's place was so cozy and charming. There is a full kitchen so you can cook eat dinner on the patio and enjoy Rakefet's beautiful garden and mosaics. We had a lovely time exploring the town and doing some hiking. I would definitely like to return!

  • Kathryn and her family were so welcoming and hospitable to us. The house was also perfect for my wife, 3mo old daughter and I. We were able to walk to almost everything. Having lived in Bellingham before, you can't beat this location with access to Fairhaven, Marine Park, the South Bay Trail and the Interurban trails. An ideal getaway for us from Seattle.

    Mike2013-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our time in the Chuckanut Guesthouse. Everything was as described and comfortable. The town is an incredible place to relax and enjoy a vacation. Kathryn provided us with great recommendations and followed through with us to make sure we enjoyed it. Great food and views are within walking distance, as well as our whale watching tour. We couldn't have had a better time!

    Jacob2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this charming cabin. The location was fantastic and its an easy stroll into Fairhaven. We had everything we needed and Katherine and Paul were so friendly, welcoming and helpful - the perfect hosts! The garden was very beautiful and we had the amazing experience of hummingbird watching in the sun while lounging on the deck. The bed was extremely comfortable as was everything in the cabin. We will definitely be back!

    Harriet2015-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn and Paul were fabulous, easy, friendly and most helpful. The cottage is charming with a delightful decor which was light and airy. We hated to leave but will surely stay here again if in the area. Oh, not to forget BUTTERCUP........we might have taken her home with us if we could have gotten by with it. Fremont is a quaint and easy to navigate.

    jay2015-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was an extremely lovely place to stay with my dogs. I'd never been to the Fairhaven area and I don't regret it's choice! There are two off lease dog parks, plenty of trails and even an off-lease beer and wine garden blocks away! I ate out only once in Fairhaven because I was able to walk to Haggen and get food to cook. I'd highly recommend Kathryn's location to explorers and travelers. It's clean, safe and really nice! My only two notes are that there are LOTS of trains that pass through, if you're a light sleeper, it'll be an issue in the late hours. Also, the Wi-Fi is not good. It's slow and/or goes out. I used my phone as a hotspot instead to maintain consistency.

    Macala2017-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice house. Comfortable to stay in plus an easy 10 minute walk to Fairhaven. I would stay here again.

    Tom2015-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Not only does Kathryn host an amazing cabin but the energy of the whole family including Buttercup was so welcoming! I had an amazing two days of retreat time for myself. This was the perfect place for me to be. Cabin was comfortable, beautiful, and unique. Grounds are lush and peaceful. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience for me!

    Suzanne2013-08-10T00:00:00Z

1 bedroom basement apartment in quiet Columbia Neighborhood. Approximately 700 sq feet. There is a separate entrance involving stairs and parking via the alley or street. Unit includes a full kitchen, 3/4 bathroom and washer/dryer. Laminate and tile flooring. This apartment will have some low ceiling areas due to heat ducts and there is a tenant upstairs. Noise is typical foot traffic from upstairs unit apartment and a roomba vacuum mid-day. This location is in a very quiet neighborhood
This basement apartment is bright and cozy. A big transformation from before when it was my grandfather's wood shop :-) Located within my grandfather's house that was built in 1934 and I was lucky enough to keep it in the family and make upgrades over the years. There is a full kitchen that is fully supplied with cookware, serving ware and utensils. A crockpot, toaster, microwave, stove/oven, dishwasher and Keurig coffeemaker are provided. A selection of games (yahtzee, cribbage, dominoes, dice, etc) are available for use in the red cabinet. Bedroom linens are provided. Bathroom is fully supplied with towels, all-natural toiletries and a hair dryer. Comcast cable tv and wifi are provided. Extra bed is a twin size memory foam rollaway bed or aerobed style mattress. Full-size washer and dryer available and convenient for longer term stays. This unit is cleaned with all natural-based “green” products.
The Columbia neighborhood is a fantastic walking neighborhood. Except for my block - there are sidewalks throughout. The area is flat and filled with historic homes. Recent breweries have opened up in the nearby Fountain District - about a 15-20 walk. 1.1 miles into downtown core of Bellingham via heading South on Northwest Ave/Dupont. If you have a bike it's only a 30-45 min ride to Fairhaven located in South Bellingham. The Bellingham Airport is only 10-15 minutes by car. If you are into hiking or skiing, the Mt Baker Ski Area is approximately a 60min drive! Check out our airbnb in Glacier! http://abnb.me/EVmg/7KStGpoN7F
  • What a great place to spend the weekend in Bellingham. The location is minutes from downtown and the check-in was simple and straight forward. We had a question and Cassandra was easily reached and answered our question. I would recommend her place to anyone.

    Jeffrey2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb experience and Cassandra made it great. She is very quick to respond every time. The apartment is in fantastic shape, very clean, great furniture, great amenities. Very convenient location. I would definitely stay here again.

    Paul2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place

    Carri2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cassandra's place was perfect for our weekend getaway across the border. She had left the lights on for us and the place felt very cosy. The heat is controlled inside the suite, so it was easy to warm it up on a very cold night. The bed was quite comfortable and everything was very clean. Noise was not an issue for us.

    Surya2018-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great night staying at Cassandra’s place. She had lots of helpful info on local places to eat and things to do. The apartment was clean and homey, with more amenities than I expected. Coffee and tea, a crock pot, baking dishes and pots and pans were available to use. The couch and bed were comfy, and the bathroom had nice touches of q-tips and shampoos and conditioners. We would come back!

    Mae2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Cassandra has done a very nice job of making this apartment comfortable to stay in and relax. The kitchen is very usable and the living room space is comfy! She is also an excellent timely communicator if you have questions.

  • This is a very charming Airbnb, spacious and nicely decorated. We very much enjoyed our stay. It had every amenity we needed. We're planning to check and see if it's available next time we're going to be in the area! 5 star!

  • Wouldn't have changed a thing! It was perfect, quick, and easy!! Thanks again!

  • Deborah is a stellar host! Extremely friendly, informative, and genuinely makes the stay feel comfortable. The house is incredible and spacious, it's a completely separate apartment from the house. I wish we had more time to stay there, we got such a great night sleep! Arrival was super easy, Deborah is very communicative and helpful, and the entire time ensured we had a fantastic visit. Hats off! We'll be back next time we come up North to visit!!! Thank you!

    Drew2015-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Deborah was the ultimate host, from the additional lighting of the walkway when we returned late at night to the many homemade goodies left outside the door in the early AM. Definitely fire stars plus for them. Look forward to a return stay. Thanks Deb !

  • Great place! We stayed here for just one night, but everything was perfect. Deborah even left breakfast for us and had some recommendations on where to travel. I would recommend staying here to anyone traveling the region.

    moritz2017-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to spend a night! The place was clean and cozy (and dog-friendly - wow!), and the whole process was very smooth. Bites for breakfast were a very pleasant surprise! I would definitely stay here again.

  • Very nice home away from home! Secluded, quiet, yet close to Bellingham. I arrived very late but was able to get inside easily - no problem at all. Deborah sent a few messages to make sure everything was ok even as she respected my privacy.

    Gregory2015-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • What we love about Deborah's Airbnb is that you have your own space. It's quiet, but very close to everything. It is very comfortable and welcoming. We have stayed here many times.

    Lynda2017-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Erin and Chris' place is clean, offers plenty of room and it's even possible to use their garage to store sporting goods if you have any. It is also conveniently located close to the freeway, Galbraith mountain and grocery stores. I even walked to downtown Bellingham to sample some local brews. You don't always get to meet the hosts but I was lucky enough to share a couple of beers with both of them. They are very friendly laid back folks and great hosts. It was a pleasure spending some time with them. I can see myself riding again with Chris at Galbraith or other trails in the area the next time I return to Bellingham. Cheers! :)

  • Very quick to get back to me!

    Lance2018-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's place was clean, in a great location for everything Bellingham related, and had all the amenities (Netflix, hygiene products, hangers in a spacious closet, even a garage if you so chose) you could hope for in a short bnb trip. If it's available, book it.

    Dylan2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and private. Loved having a private garage to park in. Very close to Whole Foods market and great restaurants. Erin was very quick to communicate. Would definitely stay again

    Rob2018-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome space with extra storage in the garage. I was biking in the area so it was awesome to have a spot to keep the bike at night! It’s walking distance to just about everything in town. Erin’s place is on top of my list of where to stay when I visit Bellingham moving forward!

    Tyler2018-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • The place was exactly as shown. Clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We did not get the opportunity to meet Erin and Chris, as it was a short stay for us and we spent all of our time with my family. Only came home each night to sleep and shower in the morning. Great set up with private entrance and suite had everything we needed for our short stay. We would definitely stay again. Thank you so much Erin and Chris for hosting us!

This quirky place is close to downtown, beach, family-friendly activities, nightlife, public transport & airport. You’ll love being here because of the coziness & location which works for couples + baby, solo adventurers + dog companions. The Garden Guest House is truly tiny, like a small bedroom ~ 120 square feet set in the midst of a glorious .22 acre garden backyard with a lovely Grandmother Willow, Grandfather Vans Cherry, 2 apple, 2 Asian pear + 1 antique Turkish Quince trees.
The edge of the Columbia Neighborhood ~ 2 blocks from Haggen's with Starbucks & outdoor seating + 2 local Taco Trucks within 2 blocks ~ yum! Earl's Bike Shop is a local place to tune up your bike or rent 1 to try out Galbraith Mountain. Goods Produce ~ 2 blocks away, local honey, fruits & veggies ~ luscious! Take a look at our Guidebook for more suggestions ~ parks, beaches, eating spots... enjoy!
  • The local coffee and yogurt in the fridge was a nice touch. My dog loves running around the huge backyard.

  • Cynthia greeted us and couldn't be more warm & friendly :-) Home was clean & quaint. Large back lovely yard. Conveniently close to town! Thank you!!

    Pandora2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cynthia was a fantastic host and made us feel right at home. The cabin is very cozy and had everything we needed. The yard is also one of the most peaceful places to relax. The location is great. You are just out of the main part of town while still very close to everything. We plan to stay there when we come back 10/10.

    Sam2016-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Cynthia was the perfect host. She is just lovely and friendly and made us feel so welcome. We had our pup with us and he was so excited to run and play in the huge backyard. The studio was so cozy and decorated adorably. The yard was stunning, so many fragrant flowers and beautiful plants. We would 100% recommend staying with Cynthia. Thanks again for the best time!

    Lexie2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cynthia's little cabin in her garden was a gem of a find in Bellingham. It is very small but had everything we needed for our stay. The garden area around the cabin was the perfect place to retreat from the City as well. Cynthia was a wonderful host and made booking and staying with her a pleasure. I would definitely book this place again.

    Tracey2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little space, close to downtown Bellingham. Cynthia was very helpful in explaining the odds and ends of the tiny home. I was there for a week with my boyfriend. It was a little tight for two people over several nights, but would be great for a single person just passing through. All in all a good experience!

    Irena2017-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Cynthia was so sweet and accommodating on our short one-night stay for a half marathon in Bellingham. The apartment is small, but it's absolutely everything you need: a cozy bed, a little microwave, a fridge, many toiletries... And Tillamook yogurt! The backyard was a perfect sanctuary. Bellingham was so charming, and so was Cynthia. We'll be back!

We welcome all to our home. We are within walking distance of train, bus, the Alaska Ferry as well as restaurants, grocery store and hiking & running trails. Galbraith Mountain is a short drive away and the American Alpine Institute is a short walk away. If you are arriving by train, bus or plane we will be happy to pick you up when you arrive.
This is a daylight basement Studio Apartment with an 8 foot window looking out the front of the house - East. Approximately 400 sq ft + adjacent bathroom. There is a couch, desk to work at, wi-fi, refrigerator, microwave, sink, dining table and a very comfortable leather recliner. It has excellent natural light and a lot of artificial full spectrum light as well. Birds, squirrels, deer, racoon and Matilda may appear right outside your window for your viewing pleasure. Matilda, aka "Her Highness" is the resident cat. Your private bathroom is located right next to your private room. There is also a washer and dryer. You do not have to go through the house to get to the room, your entrance is through the sliding glass door, no steps to navigate. In addition you will be surrounded by beautiful art to make your stay even more enjoyable. There is a queen bed, a good sized refrigerator with a small freezer, a large microwave and a coffee pot. Coffee and tea are provided. Half and half for your coffee upon request.
Because it is a cul-de-sac with only a dozen homes there is little traffic. We know all of the neighbors and we have a yearly party. We have lived here for 24 years and from the very first day we arrived it has been and remains a welcoming, friendly and caring community. You may park in any available space on the street, just not in front of the fire hydrant or mail boxes.
  • Loved it! This was a last minute booking and it completely ticked all the boxes on the standard things: comfortable bed, hot shower, clean and private. There was morning sun in the beautifully decorated enormous room. Birds and garden out the window. Not only that but Rick and Jim were beyond welcoming. Totally above and beyond. The art is amazing and the garden stunning. Their house definitely feels like a haven of culture and tranquility. I would seriously consider a special trip to Bellingham just to stay there again.

    Gabriella2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Rick were fantastic hosts who provided us with a warm, friendly welcome and lots of information. They were accomodating to our travel itinerary, and we visited with them when we had the chance, since they had so much to share about the city. Rick's art is also pretty remarkable (and displayed around the house), and he is happy to talk to you about it if you are interested. The room was very cool and comfortable, and the beautiful antique furniture (especially the sideboard and sofa) really made it feel like home. The garden in the backyard is impeccably kept, and the fountain/water fall feature made it feel like a resort/oasis. Their home is very close to downtown Fairhaven which is full of charm with great shops, restaurants, and places for sweet summer treats. I would highly recommend staying with them if you are traveling to Bellingham or just passing through even.

    Daniel2014-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Rich are amazing: Friendly, hospitable and full of interesting stories. They even came to pick me up from the bus. I really loved my stay with them and hope I can come back to Bellingham. Thanks for having me!

    Kay2015-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome spot!! Full of art,and culture. My cousin and I walked to get food, drink, and take in a Pacific sunset.

    Ruckus2016-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Rick are very dear people with a flair for plants and art. Their space has a great feeling, and they are very responsive if anything isn't just right. Thanks for reuniting me with my left behind earrings so quickly!

    Willow2016-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Felt like a slice of sunny California in Puget Sound. The house and the hosts are very welcoming, warm and generous. Beautifully crafted gardens and yard, like an oasis in a quiet residential neighborhood. The room itself is bright, spacious and comfortable. Art, books, tasteful furnishings, plants, music, local guides, news and magazines fill the room; the kitchen is nicely stocked, and everything is well marked and clear. Rick and Jim couldn't be nicer!

    Yvonne2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Rick are two of the nicest hosts I've ever stayed with. They picked me up and dropped me off at the train station and gave me a mini-tour of the town. Plus their cat Matilda likes to come find you and purr. The room is great and just as described.

    Daniel2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time staying in Rick and Jim's home. I stayed 3 nights total - 2 just me, 1 with my jet-lagged husband. First off, it's hard to tell from the photos but this room is huge and gorgeous! I'd call it a suite, with a kitchenette, sitting area, and a work space. The bathroom is private and has a washer/dryer. Highlights: Sitting on the deck, keeping the chickens company and enjoying its amazing view of Chuckanut. Using the provided birding book to finally learn what the heck a chickadee is. Learning a little about the tawdry past of my new hometown. The real treat of staying here, though, are Jim and Rick! I'm a shy person, but they made me feel so welcome - inviting me up to share a delicious meal, encouraging me to use the deck, offering excellent recommendations for hikes. I feel so fortunate to be moving to a town where these two live. And the fellows KNOW their stuff! Ask them anything about the area, I dare you. They are old hands at welcoming wayward travelers - having hosted couch surfers and exchange students over the years. This is a haven for: people tired of living out of a suitcase, landscaping-enthusiasts, art lovers, bird watchers, history buffs, people moving to the area, home canners and anyone looking to make awesome new friends. I'm tempted to return here for a staycation after I've finished unpacking. Seriously, some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet.

Located in the Cornwall Park neighborhood our private 400 square foot studio apartment is the perfect place to stay. This newly constructed, clean, quiet and well lit apartment has a private entrance with keyless entry, allowing guests to come and go as they please. The apartment offers the perfect location to walk or ride a bike to downtown Bellingham or WWU. Tandem bike is available for your use or to test your relationship ;) Access to garage to store bikes or other gear.
The apartment has a full kitchen and all the tools to prepare meals. The grocery store is two blocks away. Television and Wifi, linens and towels are all included. Lots of wood and radiant floor heat makes for a warm and cozy space. Enjoy your own music with the provided Bose blue-tooth speaker or make your own music with the Baby Taylor guitar. The apartment is very private. The space is above the garage and is well suited for a couple. There is a couch and a cushioned bench in addition to the double bed, but neither are suited for sleeping, unless for a small child. Downtown Bellingham is a walkable distance to enjoy a dinner out, show at the Pickford, music or enjoy one of the many Bellingham breweries. The Saturday Farmers Market is less than 2 miles away in downtown Bellingham. WWU is less than 3 miles away. Access to the garage allows you to borrow our tandem bike, sporting equipment or securely store your own outdoor gear.
Our place is located in the Cornwall Park neighborhood about a mile from down town. We are near Cornwall Park, the Roeder Home and only a few blocks from Haggen Grocery store. Local Breweries, the Saturday Farmer's Market and many delicious restaurants are located near our location. We are less than 3 miles from WWU.
  • The GarageMahol is a perfect little place for a getaway for two. It is really clean, cozy, and fun. The photos are slightly deceiving, since the mirror makes the place seem bigger than it is. However, we loved the GarageMahol nonetheless and would absolutely stay there again. Donna was so nice, and being able to use the garage for our bikes was splendid and extremely helpful. 10/10 would recommend

    Nicholas2018-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Donna's place is so lovely. The decor is awesome, the bed was ridiculously comfortable, the place is nice and quiet but still close to downtown. Will definitely stay again if we get the chance!

    Beth2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • On the same lot as the owner's house, but private and no overlook. Very quiet! Well designed fairly new space on the second floor above a garage space (not used as garage) and is one room plus bathroom but feels spacious. Good neighbourhood. Squeaky clean.

    Paul2017-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a definite must in Bellingham. Close to everything but still quiet and cozy. Donna and Vincent are awesome. Welcoming a friendly. And they have a great patio/deck with a wood burning fire pit for enjoying the outdoors when it's cool. So easy to find and get to and from - tandem bicycle is a must for transportation. It got us around Bellingham no problem. Drivers there are courteous and tandem riders are greeted with a smile. Check out the Tap trail and enjoy feeling at home at Donna and Vincent's studio.

    Lauren2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is great; clean, close to downtown, and quiet. The baby Taylor and tandem bike are a nice bonus. Enjoy your stay!

    Lauren2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Elegantly decorated, clean, the epitome of comfort. A great place to cook a tasty meal, read a book, or just lounge and listen to the rain. My husband loved the Taylor guitar included with the rental—he started writing a new song on it!

    Judith2018-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Donna and Vincent were great hosts and the studio apartment was the perfect space to come back to after exploring Bellingham. The photos of the unit are precise, although everything looked better in-person! The space had great natural lighting with large windows and skylights thoughout. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of linens and extra blankets, if need be. There were breakfast cookies, water in the fridge and coffee to tide us over the first morning before we brought in our own food. Overall, very calming experience with everything we needed. There was a nice sized living room with TV to relax in; kitchen with stools to hang out on; the bathroom was small, but perfect for getting in-and-out… the stand-up shower with glass walls was very clean; the sink is small, but there is a cabinet to the left of the sink to layout toiletries. (Hairdryer available – thank you!) We took advantage of the bikes and tennis rackets in the garage – lovely park right around the corner. There were chickens and roosters around the neighborhood. Donna and Vincent were next door if we needed anything, but we rarely saw them. Always helpful and just a text away. We had a great visit and would highly recommend this studio.

A small, private, cozy studio less than a mile walking distance of both downtown Bellingham and WWU campus.
This studio is small. It's a mini space. 300 square feet tops. We love the cabin-like feel of the place. Recently, we've replaced the carpet with hardwood flooring, updated the electrical and gave it a new paint job. Updates to the bathroom and kitchen are coming soon. It is most suitable for 1-2 people, but the futon couch can be used as a second "bed" making the studio available to groups of up to four.
The best part about York neighborhood is our proximity to both downtown bellingham and WWU campus (both are within a mile). There are also several neighborhood diners, pubs and restaurants all within a 1/2 mile that are great places to unwind after enjoying bellingham. We recommend both Nelson's market and MacKay's tap house. Due to our proximity to campus, there are many students in the area. Generally they are quite but can host loud parties from time to time.
  • This studio was the absolute perfect space for my friend and I! The location was easy to get to, Chris and Amy’s check in instructions were clear and concise, and the studio was spotless. I won’t hesitate to try and book their spot again the next time I’m in town.

  • Nicole’s place is fantastic! I fell in love with the apartment, the style was eclectic but chic, very comfortable and accommodating. If you looked off in the distance from the porch you can see the bay. The apartment was so close to the co-op and I was able to walk everywhere around the downtown area. Nicole was very easy to communicate with, and made me and my dog feel very welcome. I definitely look forward to my next visit to Bellingham, and hope this apartment is still available.

  • A gem. We'd come back here in a heartbeat.

    Kristie2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Very clean; cozy; centrally located; easy to walk downtown, restaurants, farmers market; food and bakery co-op next door and across street; Nicole, our host, was timely with communication and left detained directions and instructions; easy parking and backyard entrance to entire upper story of old Victorian home; highly recommended!!!!

  • Nicole's apartment is very comfortable, clean and well equipped for a long term stay. The location is perfect for being able to explore and access downtown Bellingham by foot. The sitting space on the back porch/deck is a great bonus and a wonderful place to relax. I would definitely stay here again when I am back in town.

    Nicki2016-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole’s place is only a minute walk from the central downtown area. The space was beautiful and amazingly priced! Nicole was quick to respond to any messages and was a very accommodating host.

  • We stayed in Nicole's place while visiting family for Christmas in Bellingham. It was the ideal location - across the street from the amazing Co-Op Bakery (open at 7AM for coffee and delicious pastries - made right in the bakery kitchen). You can walk to all of Bellingham's best spots (we didn't need a rental car to get around - even when it was very cold). The place itself is beautiful - full of character and charm - clearly designed by an artist and someone with great style (we only wish we could design our apartment like that!). Very large, cozy king-size bed - and all the amenities one needs to feel at home while traveling (washer dryer, french press, big fluffy towels, lovely sitting room, etc.). We will definitely stay here again on a future Bellingham trip!

  • My husband and I LOVED Nicole's place. I felt that the pictures did not fully convey the comfort, artistry and size of this apartment. Every nook and cranny is brimming with artful touches, interesting books, a nice selection of movies, GREAT music - I could live in this place! The location is very convenient - easy walk to restaurants, coffee, grocery, shopping, yet still a quiet location on the edge of a nice residential area. Nicole greeted us, explained locks and lighting, left some recent restaurant reviews and was very accommodating with check in/out. We loved it! THANK YOU NICOLE!

Our newly renovated Basement Studio is awesome for anyone that is looking for a clean, modern space close to downtown Bellingham. In the historic Lettered Streets neighborhood, walk to all the great breweries and restaurants. Although this house was built in the late 1800's... the studio is new, bright, and a perfect getaway. It has it all: King Size bed, a gorgeous walk-in shower, and a mud-room to store outdoor bikes, boards, skis, and kayaks. More photos coming soon!
This space has been 100% renovated! Every aspect is new, fresh, and clean. It is the bottom floor of a 3 story home that was built in 1886! The front door opens directly to the driveway, so there is no need to haul your luggage very far. Full kitchen is provided, with a full size stove, sink, and refrigerator. We also provide a Keurig coffee maker. and moderate cooking supplies. We provide simple amenities to make you feel at home, such as a hair dryer, iron, and desk space. We also love to give people a feel for the historic charm of our old Bellingham neighborhood, so we have incorporated historic black and white photos from the Whatcom Museum. We also love the vintage inspired record player to add some ambience to the space and hope guests enjoy a record or two while they are here.
  • Great, easy, convenient space. Would stay again!

  • This is our 4th airbnb in Bellingham (we go about once a year) and is by far the best. We envy Lindsy's sense of style (check out the photos) and the suite was spacious, clean, and well-located. Check-in and check-out were effortless, and Lindsy went the extra mile to provide useful information about Bellingham (we learned a few things although we have visited Bellingham in the past). We will be staying in Lindsy and Eli's place on our next visit.

  • Cute place, convenient location.

    Christina2018-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a super lovely place to stay! Super comfy bed and lounging area. Great kitchen. Walkable into town. Loved it.

    Emily2018-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsy has a great eye for decor. The place is newly updated with plenty of style. There were a lot of gorgeous plants which was a really nice touch. The cement floors were cold when we were there in Feb, so bring slippers if you don't like cold floors. There was a slight mildew smell which was annoying. The place is spacious, and the bed comfortable. The bathroom is too small for two people to navigate at the same time, but the shower is larger than it looks in the pictures. Pros: great style, gorgeous plants. Cons: mildew smell.

Furnished double bedroom in a lovely cottage with garden sanctuary. Within walking distance of downtown, nearby parks, harbor. Light breakfast, coffee and tea service available. Use of microwave and refrigerator, dining room, outdoor deck, shared bathroom.
I will accommodate dog owners with prior arrangements. I have a well-trained dog, an outdoor gate system and dog run, and am an experienced pet sitter, should you wish to leave your pet in my care for an additional fee. I keep the house clean and, if you do not wish to interact with dog(s), I keep separate. I have a unique, bio-intensive garden and a pleasant outdoor sitting area.
Lettered Streets Neighborhood is well-located, adjacent to downtown Bellingham, local parks, the harbor, restaurants and shops. Easy, safe walking and biking pathways, close to bus line.
  • We had a nice time at Koelle's little house. Koelle was very gracious and welcoming, and she even took my son, who was stuck at the house, to a neighborhood party. We will definitely be staying there again!

    Shelley2016-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • As soon as Koelle greeted me at the door, I felt at home right away. She has a wonderful easy going manner and her home is full of character, accented with her own whimsical decorating touches. She has an amazing garden which I enjoyed a tour of in her private back yard. Even more than her home, I enjoyed Koelle's company. She made time to visit with me and by the time I left, I felt like I was leaving an old friend. I will definitely stay with her next time I am in Bellingham!

  • The place is in a good neighbourhood and within walking distance from Western Washington University, major restaurants and airport shuttle bus stop. Koelle is a friendly and good host. She gave lot of tips on how to reach the place, which was good for someone traveling for the first time to Bellingham. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall a great place to stay for short visits.

  • I enjoyed staying in this charming home near downtown Bellingham. The room was cute and comfy and Koelle and her sweet dog Kami made me feel at home. Koelle was nearby and available if I needed anything. I would love to stay here again!

Cozy cottage offers 1 single bedroom and use of pleasant outdoor deck in view of lush garden. Close to downtown & bus line, within walking distance of shops, parks, harbor.
Bio-intensive garden sanctuary with a pleasant deck setting to enjoy. House is located on a main artery of Lettered Streets neighborhood, close to downtown, and local parks, nearby lakes, hiking trails, waterfront as well as shopping, nightlife, and a wide selection of restaurants.
Lettered Streets neighborhood is largely a mix of Victorians and bungalows with all eras of construction represented. Some charming gardens to view on walks. Less than 15 minute walk to downtown and Marine Park area.
  • Cozy home in the Letter District, with lots of colorful homes to look at. Keep in mind if you rent this room, that this is a "narrow" twin bed, so movement is a bit limited. Kami is a very sweet dog. The garden just outside the French doors of the room is quite beautiful. Koelle is a lovely host.

    Joyce2017-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely accommodations. Good location. Calm garden to sit in. Wonderful dog. Very friendly host.

  • I had a lovely stay at Koelle's. Her house is cozy and comfortable. The room I stayed in was very nice - the bed was small but comfortable and I had a great sleep. Coffee and a light breakfast is provided, along with a couple of other treats. Koelle is so lovely and provides lots of information and great ideas of things to do in the area. Bellingham is beautiful and this is a fantastic place to stay!

Staying with Dixie and Don is like coming home. This trip was for the purpose of taking a major exam. So, it was wonderful being in a familiar home. Each morning I had a proper breakfast (amazing gourmet breakfast) that set the tone for the day. During my preparation for my exam Dixie let me use a couple of small tables to spread my books on, which make the study process easier. As you can see by my past reviews, I can not sing enough praises for Dixie and Don. With grace and gratitude, Cecelia
