A Kayak tour around the bay reveals an old stone fort built to protect the area from pirates and a variety of marine life. Where the harbour meets the open sea, paddlers are rewarded with views of the Pembrokeshire coast towards Dinas Head, a rugged coastline of towering cliffs and caves. Next a practice and a play before heading off around our sheltered coastline talking about local history and marine life. Paddling into the secluded bays and caves that can be found on the Pembrokeshire coast is a great experience not to be missed. A private glassblowing experience for 2 people. Each experience lasts 2 hours and David ( sometimes known as the Grumpy Glassblower,) only tutors 2 people at a time to ensure you have a high quality glassblowing experience. David a glassblower with over 42 years experience, will welcome you and give you a safety talk. He will explain all of the equipment and tools that you'll be using and also talk you through techniques and methods of handling and manipulating the glass. David will then show you how to make glass drinking straws, drinks stirrers, a pendant and the grand finale, blowing glass baubles . All of the pieces that you create during your experience will be ready for you to take home at the end. Other things to note: When you come for your experience please wear fully closed shoes and practical clothing. You must have reasonable dexterity with your hands in order to successfully twist and manoeuvre thin rods of glass. Please let me know if you have any medical conditions that might be relevant to the experience. For insurance reasons only the participants in the activity are permitted in the experience studio - Unfortunately we are unable to allow anyone else in the studio during the experience, this must include infants and pets.

We will be meet you at an agreed location with all the boats and safety equipment you require. After a very quick lesson we will start our tour downstream. We are suitable for all ages and previous experience is not required. We will take you to parts of Pembrokeshire that are rarely discovered. Along the route we will show you the amazing history of the estuary from its Norman castles and quarries to first and second world war submarine bases and flying boat stations. We will encounter some amazing wildlife from Crabs and Jelly Fish to rare birds and Seals (if we are lucky). At the end of the approximately 3 hour journey you will be given a lift back to the start point to your car. We may finish at a pub, if so requested :). Other things to note Trips are arranged around tides. We will endeavour to build an experiences that meets your needs.

I will meet and greet you when you arrive at the centre. After a very informal chat, I will run through the activity and will explain all the necessary safety procedures in place. We have a range of bows suitable for left or right handed archers. Each member will begin at a 10 metre distance from the target until they are deemed ready, by me, to move back to the 12.5 metre line. During your session we will play a number of archery competitions to see who will be the hotshot of the day and get to sit on the Viking Throne. Our range is located high up in the Herefordshire hills with amazing views of the Black Mountains and surrounding area. Please message me with any questions or if you require booking another date. A private session just for you, you and a friend or partner, or your family group! It includes up to 4 people but you can attend alone if you want - Do enquire though for larger groups though. After meeting the donkeys, you groom them, pop on their little panniers and we'll walk with one or two lead reins on each donkey depending on group size & condfidence of the walkers. This is a micro-group experience, spending a lot of time getting to know the donkeys. We walk for about 30 minutes to a scenic picnic point with panoramic views towards Pen y Fan and the Central Beacons. The walk is fairly easy, through some woodland and then open hilltop meadow with a bit of uneven ground and gentle inclines with one or two steeper parts but we take our time and never rush anyone. There are easier walks we can also do, especially if wet or very muddy. The picnic is a light snack meal, usually with crisps, cake, granola bars, fruit and a drink (we can accommodate differing food intolerences with enough notice) During the picnic, the dinkeys graze nearby and you can pet them or just relax with the view. The walks generally start at either 10am or 2pm and last 90 mins - 2 hours. If your preferred date or start time isn't shown, do get in touch to see whether we can add in a another date or start time to suit you. All ages and abilities can participate. You will experience something special by spending quality time with our donkeys. We will start your session with an introduction to our donkeys and the work we do. You will then have a hands on session with one of our wonderful donkeys. Your session will cover a basic introduction to becoming a donkey friend. You will discover the joy of watching the donkeys as they go about their daily routines and learn a little about animal behaviour as we interpret how they communicate with each other. We will give you the opportunity to brush a donkey and just spend some quality quiet time in their company. We will give you time to just stand or sit and watch the donkeys as they graze in the fields, you can observe these delightful animals as they go about heir natural routines and activities. This is an experience designed to slow you down and relax - we want you to experience the benefits of taking life at donkey pace.

Carys Boyle is a Ceramic Artist with a beautiful and brightly painted log cabin studio in Aberystwyth and offers classes for up to 8 people to Make & Paint your own Pottery. Great if you are looking for things to do on your visit to Aberystwyth, Ceredigion. If you don't see a date to suit you please get in touch and I'll do my best to accommodate you. The 2 hour class suits all abilities and begins with a demonstration by Carys to show the process, then the class will have the opportunity to practice mark making and cutting shapes to create a variety of items including hanging decorations, magnets, trinket dishes, soap dishes, fairy doors and jewellery holders. I'll guide you through the easy process with plenty of different shaped cutters to choose from. The clay needs to be fired in the kiln overnight, so the participants can either pop back in a couple of days to collect or I can post to them. I am offering an advanced session to learn the process of creating a coloured borosilicate glass pendant art work. This is a workshop session for maximum 3 people and lasts around 3 hours with a few breaks. During the session each participant makes minimum two ornaments and often more.. I teach how to blow a glass bubble with coloured dots on. Towards the end of the session I will create a several demo pieces to show tricks and techniques. The participant will get to keep the demo pieces as well. Please note the pieces made need to be annealed in the kiln for 6 hours after the session end so they will not be ready to take home. I will post them safely or they can be picked up. This can take up to three weeks. I also issue a little self made named certificate as a memory. Not suitable for children under 10 years of age. Then I will go through a full safety briefing. After that I'll go through the techniques of how to throw and retrieve the different axes. Then it's your turn to step back in time, it's a old art that's growing in popularity. During this time you'll get to through 3 or 4 different types of Axes, none of these are shared by anyone else. At the end you'll have some challenges to complete. Other things to note During the experience safety is the number one priority, followed by fun and improvement.

Carys Boyle is a Ceramic Artist with a beautiful and brightly painted log cabin studio in Aberystwyth and offers classes to create some vivid and colourful jewellery. Although I usually work with porcelain, I have also been using Polymer clay for over 30 years and it’s ideal for a short class with immediate results. This is a 2hr class and suits all abilities, a great activity for a group of friends, hen parties or for Mothers and daughters. I will guide you through a simple process to make a necklace, a pair of earrings and a bracelet using Polymer clay. I can help you decide on a design and colours and have all the equipment to create the jewellery. Once you finished making the items we’ll put them in kiln and pause for a cup of tea/coffee then you’ll attach them to a chain, earring clips and pretty elasticated ribbon ready to take-away with you and wear yourself or give someone as a gift. If you don't see a date to suit you please get in touch and I'll do my best to accommodate you. Please note that children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Archery: This is called Target or Olympic and is hosted indoors in our modern barn or outside. During your session we will go through a safety talk, then techniques of how to use the equipment and some challenges to help you understand how to get the best from your bow and arrows! We use modern Recurve Bows, Arrows and Arm Bracers. If the weather is good you will also be trying, Aerial Archery: We are the only venue in Wales to offer this, it's like clay pigeon shooting with a bow and arrow! You shoot at a large moving foam disc, trying to work out where the arrow needs to be released. This is a NEW sport and very addictive! Rough age guide 10yrs and over, but it does depend on size, strength and an ability to listen. The session will last about 1 hour. If you don't see a time that works for you, please get i contact. Axe Throwing, maybe relatively new to the UK but it's quickly gaining popularity. The reason for this is very simple, it is just so satisfying throwing axes. There is no better feeling than when the axe is thrown perfectly in to the board. It is very addictive and once you've got the correct technique, you will want to throw again and again. The activity sounds rather dangerous but with our safety measures in place, it is 100% safe. We begin with an introduction to axe throwing and the ways in which to throw. After a few practice throws, we take on the scoring targets, where it really gets fun. The targets are made out of rings, with each ring scoring higher points than the previous one. The dead centre ring (the bullseye) has the highest amount of points. The objective during the five rounds is to score the highest and to beat the opposition. We then play a team round. Please be aware that this experience is for those aged 16 years and upwards. The axes we use are not suitable for anyone under this age. To summarise the experience is very relaxed, unique and is a whole lot of fun. Even those of you who have tried axe throwing before, will be surprised how different our experience is.
