On your next trip to Agra, consider going on a river safari on the Chambal River (1 hour drive from Agra) with me as your naturalist. The Chambal River Safari is no ordinary safari, you're going on a safari (motor boats and life jackets) on one of India's cleanest rivers. During the 2 hour safari I will help you spot: Gharials (critically endangered crocodiles), Marsh crocodile, 8 species of turtles, several species of rare and migratory birds, hyenas, jackals, jungle cats and the Gangetic River Dolphin (if we are lucky). This tour runs from October to May. April to June gets hot but our boats have canopies and then the sanctuary closes for the monsoon season from June 15 onwards.
