Set in the South Downs National Park, on a quiet farm, this cosy self built shepherd, surrounded by birch trees and horse fields, is a peaceful spot for a romantic getaway. Impressive views of the south downs from the accommodation makes this a stunning setting, with plenty of gorgeous woodland walks close by, as well as links to the South Downs Way.
This self built Shepherd hut is built with a lot more space then your average traditional shepherd hut. It has a king size bed to climb up to, with a living space underneath equipped with a sofa bed and a table where you can sit back and relax and have a drink whilst looking at the views of the South Downs. There is a small kitchen space with a wood burner and x2 benches either side of the room with storage space underneath. There is a compost toilet 30 meters from the shepherd hut, you will have access to another bathroom with shower and flushing toilet in the main house, which although shared, is not the main bathroom for the house and is very rarely used by others. This is approximately 30 metres from the shepherds hut. A small basic kitchenette area is provided in the shepherds hut with a single gas burner, fresh drinking water, a kettle, cooking pot, frying pan, plates, bowls, cutlery tea, coffee and sugar available. Welcome to our shepherds hut, for a touch of glamping in the heart of the South Downs National Park. Perfectly situated for walkers and cyclists as we are right on the South Downs Way and a short drive for Goodwood events. A cosy retreat with scenic views across the Downs, beautiful sunsets, starry skies and passing wildlife. There is a toilet and shower facility. A kettle, mini fridge and teas, coffees, milk, cereals are included in the hut. An electric heater keeps it nice an cosy.
Our Farm is located in the heart of the South Downs making us ideal as a base for exploring the area. A great network of footpaths. Good public transport links. Local to, Chichester, West Dean Gardens, Weald & Downland Museum, Goodwood (races, FoS, Revival), Midhurst, Cowdray Park and South Downs National Park visitor centre.
We are a traditional mixed farm over looking the village of Cocking, with a lovely local pub. Only six minutes drive to Goodwood race course and only ten minutes from Goodwood FoS or Revival. There is a good public transport link running north/south between Midhurst and Chichester, which opens up opportunities to explore these historical towns. There is also West Dean Gardens or the Living History Museum at Singleton which make great day outs. Wonderful network of public tracks through farmland and woodland to walk or cycle - and fit in a pub lunch on the route!

Me gustó mucho mi estancia.

Set in the South Downs National Park, on a quiet farm, this cosy self built yurt, makes it a peaceful spot for a romantic getaway. Impressive views of the south downs from the accommodation make this a stunning setting, with plenty of gorgeous woodland walks close by, as well as links to the South Downs Way.
There is a compost toilet nearby the yurt (30 meters) and a flushing toilet with shower in the main house, which although shared, is not the main bathroom for the house and is very rarely used by others. This is approximately 1 minute walk away from the yurt, the only people it is likely to be used by are other airbnb guests from my shepherd hut. A small basic kitchenette area is provided in the yurt with a single gas burner, fresh drinking water, a kettle, cooking pot, plates, cutlery, tea, coffee and sugar available. There is also a fire bowl provided outside the yurt to make a fire or cook food on. (Fire wood and kindling provided) From Friday to Sundays, at our nearby campsite (3 min walk away) they will be cooking up something delicious for breakfast and evening meals. It’s always over woodfire or charcoal, either on the grill or in the pot. Breakfast tends to be tea or coffee with a bacon/egg sandwich or avocado bagels. Dinner is usually grilled meat or fish and salads or delicious stews with gremolata and home-made flatbreads. There are plenty of tables and chairs for a communal feast around the Camp Kitchen, or head back to your own pitch for a private dining experience. Either way, no one needs to be the designated driver home! I will email you the week before your stay with the menu and ask for your orders in advance so we know how many we’re cooking for. Prices are between £7-£12 for adults and £4 for kids. We’ll always try to do a bit more in case the delicious smells lure some late-comers, but once it’s gone, it’s gone! Just please email me in advance if you would like to eat at the campsite. (Woodfire campsite only cooks on Fri and Sat evenings and Sat and Sunday mornings till the end end of September) The yurt is not connected up with the mains electricity but is decorated with battery powered fairy lights (a warm yellow) and there is a battery powered portable lamp which is quite bright. If you need to charge your phones you can do that safely inside the main house where the airbnb bathroom is. There is horse riding available on our farm and pony rides for children :) Tuesday evenings I hold life drawing sessions in a lovely studio space on the farm from 6pm till 9pm pay as you go £10, you are of coarse aloud to leave earlier if you like, tea and coffee provided. no experience needed at all, bring your own drawing materials if you have , if not I provide paper and charcoal. For more inquires just call me on 07763316449.

This includes freshly cooked breakfasts and wood fired evening meals from the friendly onsite chef. These are both very tasty and reasonably priced, just let me know a week before If you would like to dine there as wood fire campsite like to pre order the food in advance. Outside of these dates there is a nearby village shop and cafe serving fresh food. The picturesque village of Graffham is a 5 minute drive or beautiful 30 minute walk away, with two country pubs and a well stocked and friendly village shop. Midhurst and Petworth, both local historic towns, are only a 20 minute drive away, with plenty of pubs, local shops and supermarkets.

We have six different Pullman Carriage Rooms, all individual with their own personality. Each one has a double bed, clothes storage, seating, tea & coffee making facilities, flat screen tv and en-suite with bath. The carriages date back to the early 1900s and are all part of the Pullman history, of which only 100 coaches remain.
The Old Railway Station is set in The South Downs National Park an area of outstanding natural beauty. Set a little of the beaten track, yet only a minute or so walk from The Badgers Pub and Cuttershaw Beam Pump. The historic Town of Petworth is 1.8 miles to the North with a range of eateries and antique shops as well as The National Trust's Petworth House and Gardens. Goodwood, Chichester & Arundel are all approx a 20 minute drive.

A warm ,relaxed, loved and lived in creative home that is just that little bit different. our glorious fields are there to be enjoyed and the above ground pool My place is close to parks, art and culture, restaurants and dining, and great views. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the outdoors space, the neighbourhood, and the light. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
My home is a relaxed and creative home, built in 1919 so it has character, with the added bonus of an above ground swimming pool and our fields at the back of the house with gorgeous walks through direct access, badminton and tennis on the field and breakfast picnics if desired . there is a full size trampoline too.
I am blessed with the most wonderful community at the top of tripp hill, where as neighbours we will often meet on our field. I couldn't ask for a more friendly and supportive network and I am sure you will find that too. the village of fittleworth is blessed with outstanding beauty , walks and a lovely pub. arundel ,chichester .goodwood are all within 20 mins drive with all the fabulous amenities and heritage on offer. there is no shop in the village but a great farms shop 5 mins away.

Holiday cottage in dreamy rural village in South Downs National Park. Spring Cottage looks onto East Dean village green. Light and airy Scandi design, Ercol furniture, woodburner, secluded garden. Pub and 12th C church. Ideal base for walkers/hikers with footpaths across stunning countryside in every direction. Ideal for families or couple/friends interested in Goodwood, Chichester theatre/galleries/shopping, West Dean College, West Wittering beaches, Petworth Park, Arundel Castle and more.
Spring Cottage sits in an exceptional English village in the heart of the South Downs. Like most houses in East Dean it is built in the vernacular style of flint and red brick. The peace and quiet at Spring Cottage is remarkable, which makes staying here extremely restful. The only noise is birdsong! There are many attractions within 5 miles, but the village itself is extremely unspoilt and not at all touristy. There is a stunning 12th century church which is unlocked during the day, and whilst there is pub with rooms - the Star & Garter - there is no other Airbnb in the village, so staying at Spring Cottage feels like you are living 'for real' in rural bliss. Try it and see! For a country home, the space is unusually bright, light and airy. Built in the 1970s, Spring Cottage is designed for modern living and I have decorated the space to suit this atmosphere. This is not an 'oldy worldy' character cottage, full of horse brasses and bric-a-brac; it is a fresh and peaceful space (with extremely comfortable new beds!) in which you can breathe deeply, clear your head and rest. It also makes the perfect base from which to explore the castles and historic houses of Sussex, the South Downs National Park (East Dean is just off the South Downs Way) and the South Coast, including the spectacular sandy beaches at West Wittering. Ideally situated for Goodwood.
The South Downs National Park rolls over chalk hills running from Eastbourne to Winchester. East Dean village rests in a bowl surrounded by hills and woodland, so the rest of the world feel miles away. It is an extremely restful place to stay and I have never slept as well anywhere else. Most people in the village live and work on the land or at Goodwood nearby. There are many attractions in the area, such as Goodwood, the Cass Sculpture Park, Chichester Festival Theatre, the Weald & Downland Museum, Petworth Park, Arundel Castle, Fontwell Racecourse, the Witterings Beaches and West Dean college. The cottage is also just off the South Downs Way and makes a perfect stop off point if you are cycling or walking the route.
