Cowboy Cottage is a lovely rental home centrally located in the town of John Day, Oregon. The unit can be booked as a Vacation Retreat or as Temporary Housing. We are located in a residential neighborhood, directly across from the Grant County fairgrounds and a short, 3-block walk to the downtown restaurants, shops and businesses. This makes it ideal for exploring the town or attending one of the many local events hosted at the fairgrounds.
NOTE: Steep driveway! This cabin is in an accessible, yet removed parcel of our property, just 1 mile from the town of Dayville, Oregon. The cabin is an enclosed RV that has had an additional living spaced added to the front. Kitchen and indoor off grid bathroom . Guests can use outside spring water as well as faucets in cabin, and there is a seasonal solar shower. Great views and solitude, close to the John Day Fossil beds Sheep Rock unit, and the South Fork of the John Day River.

This charming vintage cottage sits at the crest of the knoll, and a short one-block walk leads right to downtown to many shops and restaurants. The cottage is the perfect place to relax and step back in time, with its wonderfully-equipped kitchen, a beautiful perennial garden, and an front porch on which to relax and watch the world go by.
Located on the edge of town with the Strawberry Mountains located to the south and to the north is the high school football field and little league field. This area is located in a quiet neighborhood, although depending on the time of year you are here, you may hear football practices occurring.

Blue Lagoon is part of a 2 unit cottage (duplex) and has a two room suite with a private bath. It has a queen bed in the front room and a twin in the back. A writing desk / vanity adds to the rooms' comfort. Amenities include a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, outside grill, Satellite TV and A/C.
