It was a peaceful comfortable cozy place. Beautiful kitchen however didn’t use it. We ate out all the time. The portable water was a unique asset. The refrigerator had an ice machine that was also unique. TV was unique, also. Second bathroom was an addition plus. Also the washer & dryer was definitely an added plus. The whole experience was wonderful & grand.

Everything was perfectly fine, we stayed a couple of nights during our honeymoon and enjoyed the Pineapple Express! Pretty house and surrounding. Albert gave us some recommendations for activities and food, which was very helpful!

Todd’s place was awesome. We spent almost two weeks here on our honey moon and it far exceeded our expectations. Not only did the pictures not do the house justice we got to see two eruptions from the volcano during our stay, which we probably wouldn’t have been able if we weren’t so close. Todd was also super responsive and kind during our stay. We enjoyed the few chats we got to have while we were there.

Shannon is a really really good and responsive host. This place is an absolute gem! Its location is perfect, just 5 to 10 minutes from Volcano National Park, making it incredibly convenient for daily visits. There are also plenty of great local eateries and shops nearby. The home itself is cozy, serene, and peaceful, making it feel like a true retreat both day and night. The highlight was definitely the hot tub, an ideal spot to completely unwind and soak in the tranquility.

My husband & I enjoyed our stay here. Everything about our stay was PERFECT! The aesthetic, the surrounding, the atmosphere and vibe was outstanding! We only stayed for a night but waking up to the view of a rainforest was beautiful. The hot tub was amazing especially when used at night because the air was crisp and cold. Very relaxing and peaceful. 10/10 recommend to anyone who considers staying here. We will be back!

Gorgeous place to stay! Very conveniently located to VNP. The grounds were beautiful. The tub was a perk after days of hiking in the park. If we’re ever back in Volcano, we will absolutely book again. Thanks to the wonderful staff who were very helpful!

We spent four nights in the lovely cottage and our stay there was simply perfect! The cottage is very cosy, offered everything we needed and the entire premises with the hot steams and an own short trail is absolutely beautiful. If you sleep with open windows you will have the feeling of sleeping directly in the jungle and you can listen to the sounds of the nature. Good restaurants and supermarkets are also in close proximity. The location is good to discover the eastern part of Big Island and reach interesting places like Hilo, Volcano National Park or Mauna Kea. We enjoined our time in the cottage a lot and would rent it definitely a second time if we would come to Big Island again. Jacklynn was a great host and always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Our family really enjoyed spending two weeks over Christmas and New Year here. The kitchen was excellent - great quality utensils and very complete selection of tools. This cabin was extremely comfortable - to the point that sometimes it was hard to get “moving” in the morning. Hot tub was a nice touch - but we really did not use much. I have been to all the major Hawaiian islands - even Molokai. And we judge places here by how well they integrate the lanai into the main living structure - and this cabin is very successful in that key regard. Hawi is only 28 minutes to Hapuna Beach - and the road is really good (just watch for lurking police looking to give tickets?). We would love to stay at this terrific place again - thanks to Richard and Lila!

The place was conveniently located within walking distance of the HILO downtown district, where you will find local shops and good restaurants. There are also three supermarkets within 1.5 miles and a short drive to other national chains of stores. You are also near many attractions, including the beach, all within walking or short driving distance, with easy parking. The house offers private parking, which was nice. However, there are some stairs to climb as described in the listing, so it's not wheelchair or elderly-friendly if you carry a lot of heavy luggage. The house came with some basic cookware, and with a short distance to the supermarket and local farmers' market, you can save a lot of money not eating out if you choose to stay in and spend time with family. I would 100% stay there again or any property that Jason is listing. Great Host!

Kelly’s place was perfect. Quiet, private and lots of covered outdoor spaces with lots of room. The home was clean and had everything we needed. She even had a nice notebook filled with things to know and do around the area. We enjoyed our daily walks to the ocean and met lots of people enjoying the area. I would recommend Kelly’s place for anyone who wants to enjoy all that the East side of the Big Island has to offer.

We loved Autumn's jungle cottages and would recommend her place. Great for small groups with separate accommodations. Beautiful outdoor gathering bbq area and every kind of plants. highly recommend

Beautiful spot in the jungle near the volcano. Super private, jungle hottub was definitely the star of the stay. Communication was great.

Quiet, cozy place to rest after going out. Make sure you take time to view the night sky whenever you wind down. The lava rocks and the background is a surreal experience. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom is clean. There are plenty of coals if you want to bbq. Bring your own water and food supplies. The only con I have is mosquitoes. Make sure you have mosquito repellents. Thankfully, the beds have curtains over them. Don’t be like me and forget to utilize that before sleeping unless you want to wake up with mosquitoes all over.

The space is beautiful, airy, open. Outside is filled with flowers along the walkway and plumeria outside the front door. Downtown Hilo is within quick driving distance. This is an extraordinary listing and I will definitely try to return!

The treehouse was exactly how it was portrayed. It was quaint and surrounded by beautiful foliage. It felt like a perfect escape from city life and the crowds at resorts. It was so close to Volcano National Park which made it easy to check out the park multiple days. The inside was clean and had a cabin feel with all the wood walls and wood burning stove. We enjoyed our 2 nights!

This house was absolutely perfect — a beautiful, lush jungle oasis tucked away just enough, but still right in the heart of Hilo. The neighborhood and entrance felt deeply private, with gorgeous landscaping, so peaceful and quiet, yet only blocks from downtown and the beach. The home itself was modern, but still had that perfect touch of country and Hilo charm that instantly made me feel at home. I really appreciated the extra pillows, blankets, and towels — everything was clean and thoughtfully set up. Great water pressure, too! The spacious carport was also a huge bonus. The home was extremely roomy and comfortable; we will 10000% be back anytime we're in Hilo for events or vacations. Jason was quick to reply, helpful, and super kind. Thank you so much, Jason!

This was our second time staying at Diane's place and it was amazing both times. We love the house and all that it offers bit what we love most is watching the sunset from the porch. I would gladly stay here again, highly recommended. Thank you very much Diane for always being on top of things, being helpful and always being so responsive.

Very enjoyable and comfortable stay at Bananarama. Really enjoyed the screened in porch. Nice to use AC at night for cool sleeping. Be sure to visit Bananarama Cafe - excellent vegan oatmeal pies (cookie) and vegan stromboli (and we’re not vegetarians). Would definitely stay again. Rob and Bob are good people.

We loved our stay at Jenn's place! The views were incredible and the house was cozy and well stocked with kitchen and beach supplies. Jenn shared numerous great recommendations including letting us know about a rare eruption so we didn't miss it. There is one grocery store and a bar about 15 minutes away, but otherwise, it's pretty isolated. We found that peaceful, though, and enjoyed cooking at home, enjoying the views and hanging out on the porch playing the board games, and heading out on longer trips to see the island's geographic wonders during the day.

Eileen's bird house is incredibly well designed and put together. The house is in a very peaceful location yet just 10 mins from the Volcano National Park entrance. We loved the back patio with the fire pit and rainforest vibe. Highly recommend experiencing this beautiful property.

My husband and I stayed at for the first part of our Big Island trip at the cottage. The host was very friendly and responsive. The cottage was tucked back in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. We enjoyed the sounds of the frogs at night and the birds in the morning. The wild chickens/roosters definitely made their presence known. If you are a light sleeper you may want to bring earplugs or music (although we didn’t mind). The neighborhood was safe to walk to watch the sunrise over Paradise Cliffs. Location to other attractions was convenient with still feeling off the beaten path. The cottage was clean and comfy. I recommend this stay and would love to visit again. Mahalo to our hosts. :)

Felt very private. Appreciated the secured drive. This location is near to beautiful sites, local attractions while not being in a chaotic downtown area. You are close to the road, but the foliage doesn't make you feel like you are. Love the back patio whether it was for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at the end of the day it was perfect. It would have been nice to have a mirror in another spot other than having to straddle the toilet.

My wife , two young children and I very much enjoyed our stay. After days spent swimming and exploring the beaches in the heat, it was great to relax in the cooler temperatures of Captain Cook on the cottage's lanai while taking in the expansive views. It was a delight to return to the cottage each day of our stay!

Suzy's home was perfect for our annual ohana girls' trip to Hawaii Island. We especially loved the spacious lanai from sipping coffee, listening to the birds in the morning to evening dinner made enchanting by the decorative lighting.
