Our Bungalow is on the east side of Barra 3 miles from Castlebay. It sits at the top of a Brae so commands beautiful views of the Sea of the Hebrides with Skye Eigg and Muck to be seen also the ferry coming and going to the mainland . It’s fenced off so peace of mind for dogs or children .Its very private . We have everything in it to make it a fantastic home for holidays with Internet included . What more could you want 😊 Saturday to Saturday is preferred but we can sometimes be more flexible 👍
44 Kentangaval is a simple, clean, old fashioned style, traditional croft house B and B with two rooms to let. These are listed on airbnb as Hannah's Room (family room with double bed and single bed with guest bed....travel cot on request ) and Finlay's Room (double room, with facility to add a single bed for you on request and/ or a travel cot). In addition there is a small room with a wooden cot. No TV in rooms, shared shower room, no locks on doors....security isn't an issue on the island!! But it's quiet and you should sleep well on the new comfortable mattresses we have just put on the beds. No 44 Kentangaval is positioned ideally on the very edge of Castlebay, two houses out, and a convenient short walk to all the amenities of Castlebay and the Co op shop. Set back from the road, it's in a quiet spot with a little river right outside the house and plenty of bird song in the mornings. The corncrake has been particularly active this year! The bedroom windows have lovely views of the shore across the road.
John Z built Tigh Zed for his family, a substantial and spacious 3 bedroomed house in the village of Bruernish on the island of Barra, less than a mile from Northbay and 7 miles from Castlebay. It has sea views to the east and North as well as hill and moor views to the west.
“Barra es un hermoso rincón de Escocia y esta fue la base perfecta para las aventuras de nuestra familia. Un montón de espacio, instalaciones para cocinar para nosotros mismos y un montón de libros y folletos para explorar las islas.”
