Since this day, many pastry chefs had and continue to have fun with this recipe, like Pierre Hermé or Cédric Grolet. Today, you can come and learn how to bake your 2020 version macarons ! During this interactive cooking lesson, you will be hands-on in the kitchen. Equipped with an apron and all the utensils you need, you will learn how to make your own macarons step by step, also picking the flavour of your choice ! You will be in control of your creations from start to finish, from the moment you lay eyes on the recipe for the first time to the moment you take your creation out of the oven. I will be at your side to guide you and to teach you, with full explanations, the techniques you need to guarantee your baking will be a success! At the end of your experience, we can taste what you have baked and chat about your trip to Paris and I’ll also be happy to give you my culinary advice, recommendations and opinions. We will hop on a Tour de France of wine, with 6 bottles (white and red) being served, all from small and reputed producers. Expect to cover different regions, different grapes / blends and different styles. These are really French classics which we will discuss. Food is included: a selection of cheese, charcuterie and obviously fresh baguette. We will learn to use all our senses to think about wine and perceive various styles and aromas which can be traced to grape varietals, regions and winemakers. If you want to share your thoughts on the wines, your participation is encouraged. Questions are welcome too. We don’t just talk about the wines and regions but a lot of practical advice is discussed too. 1) How to decipher a label 2) Geographic denominations and terroir vs grapes 3) Pairing food and wine 4) The true price of wine 5) Some tips to buy or order wine We even debunk myths of wine (e.g. NO! most cheeses don't go well with red wine). At a charming cheese boutique in the Marais neighborhood, we'll dive straight into the vast and exciting world that is French cheese: the history, production process, science, regional specialties, and cultural significance. After exploring the cheeses in store, we'll descend to the 17th century cellar for the cheese-and-wine tasting, and even step into the cheese-aging chamber (please note that the cellar is not active from July till September). While we can't guarantee that we'll try all 500+ varieties of French cheeses that are known to exist, you will taste a wide and representative selection! We'll also pair the cheeses with delightful organic or low intervention wines that will have your taste buds singing. Other things to note Our tasting room is located in a below-ground cellar, accessed via a steep staircase. Hence, this experience may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Puis, nous passerons à la pratique, nous irons dans une boulangerie, un bar, un restaurant ou une boutique pour mettre en pratique ce que nous avons appris plus tôt. Tu devra commander, demander des renseignements, demander plus ou moins . Je serai là pour t'assister, te guider et te rassurer. Ce sera l'occasion pour toi d’améliorer et de pratiquer ton français, connaître la vraie vie parisienne avec un local qui a vécu toute sa vie à Paris. Bienvenido a nuestra experiencia de iniciación a la degustación de ron y cigarros, una rica experiencia sensorial que te transportará al mundo hechizante sabores y aromas exquisitos. Nota: All people staying at the workshop must have made their reservation. it is therefore not possible to stay just to observe. Children up 5 y.o. can join the class. ————- A bowl of ingredients, called "equal parts" is available for each traveler. For this foolproof method of macaroon shells, I plan to have them make an Italian meringue. It's a bit technical but it works well and takes less time. Of course, I explain the other method to them so that they know what they are doing. All the tips will be disseminated so that they succeed in their experience once at home. Once the dough is obtained, very shiny after macarooning, I show how to use the piping bag to fill it without wasting anything. It's very basic! Now comes the time when you have to dress or pipe this dough. I make an example first on round templates and then I show them how to make drawings on each shell, with a smaller double nozzle. This step is fun and very popular because travelers can then personalize their macaroons. Depending on the quality of the work, they make 12 to 15 macaroons each, which they can take away in a box provided for this purpose. During the cooking, I show them how to make a raspberry ganache, which they will put in their macaroons.
