Since this day, many pastry chefs had and continue to have fun with this recipe, like Pierre Hermé or Cédric Grolet. Today, you can come and learn how to bake your 2020 version macarons ! During this interactive cooking lesson, you will be hands-on in the kitchen. Equipped with an apron and all the utensils you need, you will learn how to make your own macarons step by step, also picking the flavour of your choice ! You will be in control of your creations from start to finish, from the moment you lay eyes on the recipe for the first time to the moment you take your creation out of the oven. I will be at your side to guide you and to teach you, with full explanations, the techniques you need to guarantee your baking will be a success! At the end of your experience, we can taste what you have baked and chat about your trip to Paris and I’ll also be happy to give you my culinary advice, recommendations and opinions. We will hop on a Tour de France of wine, with 6 bottles (white and red) being served, all from small and reputed producers. Expect to cover different regions, different grapes / blends and different styles. These are really French classics which we will discuss. Food is included: a selection of cheese, charcuterie and obviously fresh baguette. We will learn to use all our senses to think about wine and perceive various styles and aromas which can be traced to grape varietals, regions and winemakers. If you want to share your thoughts on the wines, your participation is encouraged. Questions are welcome too. We don’t just talk about the wines and regions but a lot of practical advice is discussed too. 1) How to decipher a label 2) Geographic denominations and terroir vs grapes 3) Pairing food and wine 4) The true price of wine 5) Some tips to buy or order wine We even debunk myths of wine (e.g. NO! most cheeses don't go well with red wine). You'll have choices on at least 10 tastings on our visit: sweet or savory, I'll be sure to delight your tastebuds! you'll get a cup of the most delicious and fresh coffee in the East of the city! Follow me as we discover all kinds of flavors in the food stalls and as well as at iconic local food shops nearby, owned by the friendliest people in Paris. Kids of all ages are welcome! They love all the tastings. Our group will be of 6 people (7 at a maximum if I have to accommodate a solo traveler ;). If you have a bigger group or you don't see availabilities on the date you want to book, please send me a direct message :D We'll visit the open market that is in full swing and super busy! we will also visit the covered market at the Aligre.  Other things to note: -Please note that we will need at least 2 people signing up so the experience can be assured. -I am very sorry, but I CAN'T adapt to vegetarian/vegan/gluten-dairy-free (during the tour we enjoy a big plate of charcuterie, mostly pork and cheese, along with bread).
