The property is situated in the middle of a lot of foliage, and it was really cozy for us. Everything was squeeky clean and maintained well, and the caretaker Mr. Shaji took good care of us, delivered food and groceries on time, and he was really friendly. Mornings in The Placid Rill are the most beautiful. We could watch the sunlight falling on the mountains and trees nearby, right from the bed. It was a 5 star property and a 5 star experience, and it is very ideal for couples and small families. One small issue I would say was that the wifi in our room was a little weak. I had some work documents to upload, and it took a lot longer than expected. But I don’t mind that. Would 100% recommend to a friend.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The property is stunningly beautiful, surrounded by tea plantations. The moment I arrived, I was struck by the peacefulness of the location—it felt like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The home itself is cozy, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I especially loved the outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring our stay was smooth and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a calm, rejuvenating retreat, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Very beautiful and quiet surroundings. But the approach Road was slightly difficult to navigate.. Last 100 mts only one vehicle can pass. Also mobile range is poor so difficult to call and ask for directions. Food was nice for a 2 day stay but more than that can get repetitive. Not too many places to eat close by.. Atleast have to drive half an hour for a restaurant. For the price you pay it was definitely worth it.

The Mountain Villa is such a special place. Our three young kids and we marveled at the views, gardens, and wild animals we encountered on the property: skinks, stick insects, tree frogs, huge butterflies, and four different types of beautiful non-venomous snakes. What an adventure. And the food served by the kind and attentive staff was like having the best home cooked food, out on a deck overhanging a spectacular cliffside at sunset. For activities outside the villa, the pine forest was far too crowded and small for us, but the Windy Forest Trek about 45 min drive away was a highlight and we saw a wild elephant. Thank you to this amazing team for creating such a magical space and sharing it with us.

We had a wonderful time at Pepperglen Farm ! Jinu and her parents made our stay feel like home A little haven from the chaos of the city ! We had really nice South Indian home food. We had the choice of big trek in Periyar or go more local with a swim in the river and a tour between all the farms around the area. The natural pool was so enjoyable and the view stunning. We also had the chance to visit the farm and discover all the trees and plants our spices come from. It was easy to hire a taxi to get there and come back. Jinu helped with all our question and request. Thanks again for making our stay memorable

Our family had an amazing stay at On The Rocks. The location is serene and beautiful. The cottage is perched up on the hill true to its name “On the Rocks” and offer an amazing view to the mountains through its big glass windows. The caretaker, Rashiq is very friendly and hospitable. We loved his home cooked meals and knowledgeable of the location. Highly recommended and would love to go back!

We took a private pool cottage with two bedrooms for our family of 5 including two kids. The cottage was neat, private and the pool was the right size for the kids. The pool was also maintained well. The food was homely and tasty and was reasonable price. There was a small water fall and a stream inside the property. They are still developing the property and it would have been nice to have. a small hike in the property with pathways through the cardamom plantations. They gave coupons for us to the nearby vagamon heights adventure park which was also great and did some activities there Vipin , the caretaker was always available on phone. He was very pleasant and always ready to help with all our needs. A great place for a family vacation

Great place to stay. Totally worth the money especially since i took two rooms for this price. Would prefer hotel if provided one room Pros - 1. Host and his family is very friendly, very proactive and very helpful 2. Room and bathroom is very clean and spacious 3. Many restaurants and shops nearby 4. Easy to find place 5. Excellent tea by host 😊 6. Scenes from balcony is great especially during sunset and sunrise 7. No foul smell in balcony, even though i first thought it will have 8. Breakfast is complementary, have to pay for other things Cons - 1. Not that wildlife view, only can see animals which can be seen in daily. Was able to see pig, buffalo, dog, etc. 2. If something is not working, nothing can be done cause no one available to get that thing repaired asap. My TV and exhaust was not working and it could not be repaired during my stay 3. Alot of mosquitoes, flies, lizards. Mosquito machine coil is available but hardly work. Scary but comfortable sleep, nothing bit anyone
