Lovely cottage and lovely people. Clean and pretty. The cottage is just as described, but will appeal especially to those who want to experience how things "used to be". Going up the stairs to the upper area where the bed is reminded me of being at my grandmother's when I was a child. Outside it looks modern, but inside it has the lovely original log construction. The view is of a farm, with the mountains in the distance. Pay attention to the description -- there is no toilet, shower or running water in the cottage, but the hosts let guests use the very modern and clean facilities in their house, in an area they don't use, and also provided a big container of water. The cottage is right on St Olavsleden, so it is convenient for pilgrims walking that trail. If you don't have trail food, there are food stores and restaurants/cafes less than 5 km away in Frosta. The cottage is also close to the Frostatinget and Logtun Church, both of which are worth a visit.

It's clearly stated in the information that there's an open staircase up to their living accommodation. Naturally you do hear them, but I didn't experience it as an inconvenience or problem. Responsive and very welcoming host. For me it was great being able to park earlier than check in time. Clean and neat, and bonus for good water pressure in the shower!

Wonderful stay! Can't recommend Vivian and Odd Ivar as hosts enough! The apartment was immaculate, the location was central and the view was breathtaking. We immediately had easy and fast responses to all of our inquiries when we visited, from detailed helpful directions to requests on local things to do. The apartment was very clean and had a bounty of amenities for our stay. Can not praise my hosts enough who came and saw us In and walked us through the home and met us when we were leaving. Absolutely 10/10!
