Excellent coffee and beautiful downstairs filed with antiques. Also wifi and small patio.
Cafe Jax provides a pretty extensive menu that includes, coffees, teas, sandwiches, breakfast, and ice cream. It is a hidden place with a outside seating area located downstairs. Also downstairs is a large study room, where you can get some work down. It can sometimes get a little crowded.

“This “tiny” UES dessert shop is “the place to go” for “standout” cupcakes (and special-occasion cakes), “tall, creamy” cheesecakes and “incredible” scones; it’s also a “popular” stop for “coffee and a biscuit”.”

“There are plenty of great brunch places on the UES to sit outside on a sunny day and do some great people watching. Café d’Alsace is definitely one of them. It is a popular upscale French brunch spot with a lovely ambiance. The Belgian waffle, topped with fresh strawberries, strawberry coulis, whipped cream, and organic maple syrup, is a favorite order for many. Café d’Alsace also serves dinner and the top dish for many is the Steak Frites—certified price hanger steak served with red wine sauce, brown marrow, and French fries. “Even tastier when you match it with a beer from its beer list,” says Triplemint Agent Brad Lauren.”

“Known for its classy cocktail vibe that includes candlelit tables with red leather banquettes, this place is perfect for a date night. Not to mention the drink menu is one of the best in the city.”
