Great trip to the island for a swim and lunch. Boat ferries regular from the old port. Protected Island and no cars.

The ancient Plateia or Vido islet is opposite the Old Venetian fortress and the old Venetian town of Corfu . It is separated from the old fortress and from the old harbor of the city of Corfu with a narrow waterway . From the old harbor there is regular boat transport to the island during the summer . The island is uninhabited today, but it was a penitentiary site for minors in the past and a place of rural prisons.

Small island off the coast of Corfu town, a boat goes from the port near the Old Fortress. The island has beaches, nature walks and wildlife, the Serbian Mausoleum and a taverna.
