The Weeksville Heritage Center is a historic site on Buffalo Avenue between St. Marks Avenue and Bergen Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York City. It is dedicated to the preservation of Weeksville, one of America's first free black communities during the 19th century.

Tells a lot about the local history, that you wouldn't find in a museum.

Once-obscured, but now restored and open for visits, the Weeksville Heritage Center is dedicated to "preserving the history of the 19th century African American community of Weeksville, Brooklyn - one of America’s many free black communities." I love it there.
