If you can make it to the top, you will witness beautiful long distance 360 vistas of the Islands.
The St. Simons Island Lighthouse is a great historic spot near the beach. You can tour the lighthouse and learn about the local history.
The view from the top is worth the climb up. A nice gift shop in the building next door.

“Best brunch spot on the island! They also serve lunch as well. This is walking distance from The Park. They do not take reservations and are first come first serve but its definitely worth the wait. ”

“Enrich yourself with knowledge on the history of St Simons, formerly the town of Frederica, once protected from the Spanish. General Oglethorpe built the fort to protect the colony of Georgia. You may witness demonstrations of tabby construction and tour ruins of the fort and learn of the families released from debt prison in England to start a new colony on the Frederica River.”

“This is also a bicycle rental shop and is on the way to the King and Prince public beach access (the way we go to the beach). We enjoy biking around the island, and highly recommend it to our guests. We also recommend our guests park their bicycles in our back garden when they are not using them.”
