Park off of Alameda. Nice nature area down by the Rio Grande. Great place to go for a stroll. In particular, we like to do picnics here! Free!

Alameda open space is a scenic spot to walk, run, or bike. It’s great for any number of travelers to get some fresh air and enjoy time along the Rio Grande. My husband and I like to grab some coffee and cocoa for us and the kids at Satellite Coffee right down the street and head to the open space.

Bike or walk along this flat trail to enjoy the Rio Grand River and it's canals. This is especially beautiful when the leaves are changing color.

One of the nations premier urban bike/walking trails. Plenty of parking and bathrooms. From here you can bike ride, horse ride, run, walk, or rollerblade along the paved bosque trail, or enjoy a hike under the cottonwoods along the banks of Rio Grande river.
