The Flume is a natural gorge, 800 feet tall at the base of Mount Liberty. The granite walls rise to a height of 70 to 90 feet and are 12 to 20 feet apart. Guests can choose to walk through just the Gorge or do a two mile loop.
Excellent walking path for people of all ability and ages. Waterfalls, gorge boardwalk, and covered bridges all on a 2 mile loop.
1 1/2 hour drive, but this in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest. Water-cut stone gorges that are impressive, deep and loud with rushing-water. If you're in NH it's worth the trip, or go as a day-trip and explore the National Forest.

“Great for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Swam here once. Water is very clean and you can see many feet down. Also has a floating dock to jump off or sunbathe on. Went during the week and it was very quiet. Off the beaten path.”
