BRUNCH - Refuel serves breakfast and lunch, as well as a delicious Sunday brunch from 8:30 am til 2 pm. The offerings are light, contemporary and affordable. Brunch is the highlight meal, as people from all over the neighborhood flock here for the Huevos Rancheros and the Migas

“SEAFOOD - The Gazebo Cafe is an open air restaurant right in the middle of the French Market of New Orleans. This is a great place to grab some shade while still being able to soak up the sounds and smells of the vibrant New Orleans marketplace. Live jazz music is a constant here, with piano sounds chiming over the stand-up bass thumps. Their menu is loaded with Louisiana favorites like seafood po-boys, muffulettas and crawfish. This is a great place for families and groups, as there is always conversation flowing, as well as drinks and good times. Everything is generally laid back at the Gazebo Cafe, so don't plan on a 30 minute eat and run type of deal.”

“SEAFOOD - Ernst Cafe has existed in the Warehouse District of New Orleans for over a century, nestled in a Pre-Civl War structure. The atmosphere is a friendly, family type of setting where talking, chattering and having a good time are all allowed. Ernst is known for having "Crawfish Fridays" during crawfish season, where you can get a tray of the famed shellfish and enjoy discounts on the local brew as well (Abita). If you happen to visit outside of the normal crawfish season, they always serve up a mean crawfish etouffee which is something everyone visiting New Orleans should try.”

“LUNCH - Tartine is tucked away in the Black Pearl section of Uptown near Audubon Park. It is a French cafe serving breakfast and lunch. Patrons rave about the tastes, presentation and service of this New Orleans hidden gem. Breakfast is served French style, light, with coffee, pastries, fruit and favorites such as baked eggs on brioche. For lunch, try the tartines, savory pates and salads dressed on toasted baguettes. The restaurant offers a neat concept for dinners. Though they don't serve in-house, you can check their website for the "Plat du Jour" (dish of the day). For a fixed price, they will craft up dinner plates for you to pick up and enjoy back at your residence.”

“WATCH THE GAME -Bruno's has been an institution in New Orleans since the days of Prohibition. This friendly pub caters to students and is a stellar choice for watching any sporting event. Great moments in local sports history, from Tulane's perfect season to the Saint's first division title, are immortalized on the walls. There are TVs for watching and games of shuffleboard, darts or pool to be played. Choose from 20 drafts and plenty more bottled beer along with some of the best bartenders in town. Besides the usual pub fare, try the Boudreaux fries”
