The Only Ski Trip in Both California and Nevada Nevada and California each have their own appeal, and our terrain on each state’s side of the mountain has a distinct style. Each side of Heavenly is worth at least a day of exploration. Some locals love skiing down The Face in California, others dream of flying down Olympic Downhill in Nevada. Both states offer their own parking areas, lodges, and scenic views of the lake. Can’t decide which state to ski? They’re connected! Take the California trail and stay to the left to head from NV to CA. Cross the state line to NV on the Skyline Trail and take in views of the Lake Tahoe to your left and the valley to the right.
