For nature lovers. View the lake in the middle of the rain forest. Several hikes are available from 30 minutes to 3 hours. With a bit of luck you may see monkeys. (Can be crowded in cruise ship season November to April)

You can only spend so many hours lounging on the beach before you start to get restless; when that time comes, stretch your legs along the hiking trails in Grand Etang National Park & Forest Reserve. Occupying a large portion of central Grenada Island, Grand Etang teems with exotic wildlife. Its full-time residents include armadillos, mona monkeys, and tropical mockingbirds. You're sure to encounter these magnificent creatures and more as you explore popular areas as Mount Qua Qua—known for its stunning views of the park—and the beautiful Grand Etang Lake. One of the most popular hikes leads to Seven Sisters Falls, located about 1.25 miles north of the Grand Etang Visitors Center. Visitors describe both the trail and the falls as particularly scenic. However, many warn that the trail can be challenging, so bring sturdy footwear and plenty of stamina! Before you hit the trails, stop by the Visitors Center to pick up a map of the park; the Visitors Center welcomes visitors Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on weekends when cruise ships are docked. You may be asked to pay a fee to hike here, but you won't have to spend more than $3 to $6 XCD ($1 to $2 USD).

The Grand Etang National Park is a quite an interesting location in Grenada, I especially enjoyed the Crater Lake and that is where I met the Grenadian Monkey (Mona Monkey I believe). The park itself consists of buildings and some shops. I also noticed a well kept and labeled garden on the grounds. The Gazebo and other oriental looking structures at the lake shore were quite cultural and noteworthy as well. The national Park area is quite large and the central area I mentioned only take up a small portion of the vast expanse. I learned that there are hiking tours and nature walks in the mountainous vicinity and picnics and many other events possible at the lake side or in the garden. Park
