This is a more challenging hike but the uphill battle pays off at the top. Incredible views of the ski resort and box canyon throughout. This trail also starts right in town.

"The Jud Weibe Trail is an excellent place to start spring hiking as it is one of the first hikes to become clear of snow. Some even hike this trail throughout the winter. Access to this loop can be found either from aspen Street or Tomboy Road. It is a moderate hike - 2.7 miles long

Another moderate trail that can be accessed right from Telluride proper, this is a 3-mile loop that takes you lush aspen forests, sprawling fields and meadows, and wide-open sightlines of Telluride the entire way. How to get there: Go north on North Aspen Street from downtown just as you would to get to Cornet Creek Falls. Instead of going straight, cross the bridge on the left and you'll see the well-marked trail.
